Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1961 Ford F100 Flareside short bed truck. It’s totally stock with a 223 in-line 6 cylinder engine and a three on the tree manual transmission & all numbers are matching. It’s fun to drive, and the pickup gets constant compliments & thumbs up wherever it’s driven. In fact, the body lines give a whole new meaning to the word COOL…so there’s just no way to be inconspicuous in this truck! This classic was originally purchased by the US Air Force and with the exception of a later model seat, it remains unmolested; right down to the government inventory plate that’s still attached to the dash! It’s also rust free and everything still works on the truck. The odometer reads 30,702 miles, but more correctly it’s rolled over once for a total of 130,720 miles. The engine was rebuilt @ 80,000 miles. In recent history the F100 has undergone a minor father-son restoration, which included beautiful new metallic paint (which closely resembles the original factory color) and complimentary white accents on the roof and hood; also new are custom wheels & tires. While the body work isn’t 100% perfect, the truck is a gorgeous daily driver: or for minimal work, it could be an awesome trophy winner! The only things missing on the vehicle are the headliner, carpets, and one short piece of heater ducting; pretty amazing considering that it’s fifty-one years old! We’re vintage rod guys and truly appreciate early Detroit iron; mostly GM stuff & some Mopar. But when we first laid eyes on this Ford truck we couldn’t believe how outstanding the styling is, or the overall great condition it’s in! I mean we’ve had all kinds of vintage iron, but without exaggeration, nothing we’ve ever owned gets the envious looks that this truck does! Truth is we’re maxed out on projects right now (supreme hobby overload). So we thought that if Chevy & Mopar guys could love this Flareside like we do, Ford guys would really appreciate it! So here it is up for your consideration. I will be selling the truck locally also and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. We’ll be glad to coordinate with your shipper to make this a smooth transaction. Thanks for checking our auction out!
