This is a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor with the 4.6 liter V8 CNG engine in a NO RESERVE AUCTION. PLEASE NOTE: THIS CAR RUNS ON CNG OR COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS ONLY; IT WILL NOT RUN ON GASOLINE OR DIESEL GAS. It is loaded with: power steering, power brakes, anti-lock brakes, 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, tilt, am/fm stereo, air conditioning, very good tires. The outside is in very good shape; there are no dents, but a few very small rust spots (just surface rust, not structural problem rust). The white paint is in pretty good shape and still shines brightly. Inside, the interior is very good; it shows some signs of wear but overall looks very good and clean. It has nice cloth seats and carpet instead of the rubber mats most police interceptors have. The inside plastic door panel on the driver's door has a crack in it and the check engine light is on (My mechanic cannot find any problem and assumes it's a bad sensor). The vehicle runs, rides and drives very well! The engine and transmission are in great shape. I am the second owner. It was owned for most of it's life by the Kansas City, MO Water Department and they kept everything regularly maintained. I am a car dealer but, this has been my daily driver sinch March of this year. It's a great car with no known mechanical problems and I've really enjoyed driving it. I'm selling it because I recently replaced it with a 2002 CNG Crown Vic with extra tanks for extended traveling. The tank on this car expired in 2010 and was pressure tested in 2010 and 2012 and recertified for two more years. The spotlight has been removed and is in the trunk. The car was never a police cruiser so there are no light bar or antenna holes that have been filled like most interceptors. I am including 22 large photos of the vehicle from every angle to give you a good idea of what it looks like.
