what you are looking at here is a true barn find, not just one someone is saying that they found in a barn.this 1956 ford f100 is in amazing condition and is a 2 owner.here is the story of how i got this truck,i was talking with a friend about old cars and he mentioned that he had an old truck that his grandpa had left to him "an old ford" so i asked what he wanted for it and he said make me an offer,it has been in the barn for 31 years since 1981 and he didn't know if it would still run or anything so we went from there to look at it and i ended up buying it a month later after i finally got him to price it,but now i have way more projects than i can handle so i have decided to sell a few and this is one of them.sorry just had to tell that story of how i got it "lol" now about the truck, this truck is near all original i would do a complete restoration on it but it really is not going to be a costly one as this truck is in amazing condition and is 95% rust free all the major parts where these trucks usually rust are rust free on this one,the cab is awesome the floor pans are near flawless, "only surface rust" the bed and rear fenders are in great condition, hood looks great, front fenders need very little work,it does need a front bumper and running boards.this truck still has the original wheels and hubcaps on it,also has the original 272 V8 Yblock in it and it runs great, standard trans,i rebuilt the wheel cylinders but it still needs shoes "the brakes do work" you can drive the truck but the tires are 31 years old so there crap, clutch feels good and the tranny shifts smooth.as far as i can tell everything seems to still work down to the signal lights "i was amazed with that" i do paint and body and wish i had the time to do this one,i could turn this into a name your price truck for not much at all but i have so many that it would be at least a year before i could get to it so i decided to let someone else own this gem.still has the 1981 plate on it.it also has the original small yellow tennessee title that was discontinued in 1970 or 71 i am pretty sure.SORRY FOR THE LONG STORY. it will need a windshield,79,702 are the original miles on this truck,he also said the engine had a complete over haul about 4-6 months before it was put in the barn, engine also has a top oiling system on it. anyone that would not be happy with this project, certainly was not looking for a project to begin with. i will be happy to answer any and all questions best i can,and if you need any certain pics?let me know. I WILL ALSO CONSIDER TRADESOn Nov-16-12 at 04:01:58 PST, seller added the following information:the reason you see the water spots is,i just washed 31 years of barn dust off of it.On Nov-16-12 at 14:55:02 PST, seller added the following information: this truck is also a CUSTOM CAB if that makes any diffrance? On Nov-21-12 at 17:40:23 PST, seller added the following information:IF YOUR FEEDBACK IS BELOW 5 CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BID ON MY TRUCK,OR I WILL REMOVE YOUR BID!SORRY I HAVE TO DO THIS BUT I HAVE HAD BAD LUCK WITH LOW FEEDBACK BIDDERS NOT WANTING TO PAY AFTER WINNING AN AUCTION AND I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS!THANK YOU
