HOWDEE...up for sale tonight is a 1958 Ford T-Bird (thunderbird)...it was the one called the "square bird". It was only made for 58-60 and then once again another body change. This is a EXCELLENT winter project. I had gotten this car to be part of my collection but due to money, time and space...and the fact that my collection has gotten wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out of control I am gonna start parting with some of my cars. I knew when I got this car it would be a lot of work...the body looks pretty solid...in fact this car was owned by my mechanic before me...and the man who he got it from was an owner of a auto parts house in town. The car has been stored a lot. My mechanic was driving the car for a few years then the master brake cylinder went out and he never fixed it, hoping himself to restore the car for himself...and then finally I got it. I know the car had been repainted the white color at some point and it wasnt done very well adn the paint is peeling off. I think it was a shade of red before. I have had the motor running... my mechanic has started it for me a few times...(gravity fed from a gas can) for some reason was told the gas tank needed to be cleaned etc...so have never put gas in it myself...I know the motor was rebuilt at some point, think it was done by the owner of the auto parts house, well he had it done, and it is a over bored 410ci. it does have the power windows etc...this is a very cool looking car...and I wish I could have restored this car like I had wanted...but I know I dont have time for it so now it is for sale...the motor has started and will start again...but I have not started it in a long time (since before the beginning of the year)...but with very little effort it will run...as for the interior, I was gonna have the interrior redone, the seats are very dirty and might clean up ok...the carpet is ok...but the dash itself looks like it has melted....
