98 Honda Civic EX - Many Improvements !!! (Sacramento, 95826) Excellent gas mileage....gas and money saver...very economical to drive (gas prices will continue to increase) 1998 Honda Civic EX VTEC engine Cold A/C and Heater works great. Excellent/Custom speakers installed in back. Custom wheels & Tires. Custom Lights (front & back). Runs great. Excellent Gas Mileage. Tires in good condition (one tire is fairly new). Spark plugs changed within the past year. Oil regularly changed....and changed about 2,500 miles ago. AM/FM/CD. Rear spoiler. Sun roof Power windows. It has about 141,XXX miles. Clean CA title, ready to be signed over. 5 speed manual transmission. Very nice and reliable car. Interior in very good condition with the exception of the sun roof fabric, which is torn...otherwise the interior is an 8 out of 10. The car runs great. It does not leak oil. It does not burn oil. Spare tire & jack come with the car. I still have the 'H' and most other emblems that originally came on the car, that I will provide at no additional cost with the car, just in case you may want to take off the OU emblems :-) The Good: Everything listed above. The Bad:Recently broken into and the criminals damaged the passenger side exterior door handle. Slight damage to the door body, but not major body damage. Damage is primarily to the exterior door handle and associated apparatus. See pics. A mechanic told me it could be repaired with salvage yard parts, and that he thought he could get it looking pretty good again...Although this is probably more of a job for a body person. The door still opens & closes well from the inside. It is the Buyers responsibility to repair it.Even though the A/C works great, and I have never had any problems with it, the A/C does make an odd sound when off. A mechanic said he thought it was the A/C clutch or bearing.Power door locks quit working. Mechanic told me it was the driver's side control device. I obtained a replacement one from the salvage yard (see pics), but have not yet installed it. It will be provided with the vehicle at no additional cost, along with the receipt. It is the Buyer's responsibility to install it.Exterior and Interior are not perfect, but they look good never the less. I tried waxing the car in the sun/heat a few months ago and the wax adhere to the roof. Such is why the roof does not have the desired shine. However, I think the right kind of chemicals & elbow grease or a detail guy could have it looking very nice again.Defroster does not work as well as it should...It blows hot air, but seems to come through the dash more than through the vents near the windshield. I believe that the hoses in the dash probably came lose from the top of dash vents. I really don't believe that it is anything major. Notes:I am not a dealer. This has been my personal car.I've been buying and selling misc. stuff on ebay since 2001 and have NEVER rec'd a negative or nuetral feedback...only positive feedback.Buyer to assume responsiblity of transport following purchase, at no cost to the Seller.Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of close of auction or deposit is retained.Deposit of $250 must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the auction.Complete payment must be made within seven days of the close of auction.I bought the vehicle approx. 18 months ago. It has been dependable and has not had any mechanical problems. It still seems to be holding up well and runs great.I am selling this car because with a wife and two kids having a coupe has just been too much of an inconvenience. I bought a four door car about three months ago, and have rarely driven this car since. I have been dealing with two separate family crises over the past few months (one out of state). I have not had the time to smog, tag, or sell this car. I am still dealing with the fallout of these two family emergencies, plus trying to catch up on much, run a business, and keep of with all of my family/domestic responsibilities. I don't have the time to mess with this car, nor do I have the time (or desire) to show it, go on test drives, etc. Therefore, I have decided to try to sell it on ebay with the bid starting off VERY low with no reserve, and hopefully not lose too much. I just need to move on in life, getting what i can for the car, hopefully not losing too much. Tag expired in September 2012. Buyer to assume all cost, fees, and potential penalties to bring tag current. I have no idea what the cost would be.Vehicle sold 'as-is'. It is the Buyers to smog, Seller is too busy to spend time smogging the vehicle. The vehicle was smogged when i bought it about 18 months ago. I have never smogged it. Thus, one reason i am starting the auction prices off so low.Lost the lug nut lock key for the wheels. I have no idea how much it would cost to replace, but i doubt that it would cost much. It is basically just a custom socket.Bidding is starting off approximately $1,000 below the Kelly Blue Book value !!! We live in Sacramento, CA (Zip Code: 95826)....Buyer responsible for transporting vehicle following purchase. Thank you for your interest. it
