Please Read The Whole Description Up for auction is a 1979 Fiat Spider convertable 2000 Pininfarina This is a perfect canidate for someone that wants to restore these rare little cars. I had plans to drive this car because of high gas prices, but after sometime i realize that this is a car for someone to maybe restore or a person that really loves these little Fiats. In the pics you can see how i found this car in black primer. I was going to get it running and paint her red. I started cleaning up the chrome and some of the primer came off. I started to remove more of the primer and found nice paint under all that primer. I also started cleaning the interior and found nice leather under some of the dirt. I also found that there was a small fire in the carb at some point. Any wires that were affected by the fire were replaced. The driver fender took the brunt of the fire becase of a gas leak. The fender will need paint work to match. This Fiat looks clean and cute considering the small fire. I started working on the paint and will clean and buff the paint up till sale date. This is a 5 speed and the tires are new with new hubcaps for now and Im sure you know these have four disc brakes. Im still cleaning the interior and its cleaning up nice. Everything looks like it works down to the clock. I have all the keys to it also. It will need a dash cap and the middle console could be fixed or replaced to be close to perfect. So far from what i can tell, The Fiat will need a water pump, a new battery, and maybe a fuel pump. I got it to run by putting gas in the carb but the fuel won't make it there on it own. Once this car is repainted and the small issues are worked out, someone will have a clean straight fiat. The convertable top looks nice but as usual, the back window has some fogging. This Fiat has a clear title and i hope it finds a good home. You will have to trailer the car home. Please bid to win. I can give you plenty of time to pick up this Fiat. Happy bidding and good luck.
