1942 Ford Super DeLuxe Tudor. Extremely nice unmolested California car with history. It is a rare, low production car that has been restored, stock body, then updated to make it modern for freeway driving. Garage kept and no rust. It is currently registered with the original 1942 California license plates. The car is straight with excellent paint, interior, glass and chrome. As a Super Deluxe model it has the unusual rear side windows that either crank front to rear or up and down and more deluxe exterior trim. It is a "turn-key" car, ready to drive and show. EQUIPPED with entire drive train that has only 10 thousand documented miles. Engine is stock Chevy 350, 4 bolt main, 350 Turbo-Hydramatic, Chevy 10 bolt differential with 3.47-1 ratio for highway driving. Engine built by ATK Engines www.atkengines.com , their part # DC42. Transmission and differential rebuilt by local quality shops. Have receipt. Within the last 2 thousand miles, the front suspension has been converted to Mustang II with tubular upper & lower control arms, power front disc brakes with dual diaphram booster and T-Bird power rack and pinion steering. A new "Ididit" chrome, tilt steering column with "LeCarra " 40 Ford steering wheel was installed at this time. New "Block-hugger Cermacoated" headers with complete new dual exhaust system (pipes, mufflers and new chrome tips) also installed. A "Tilton" gear reduction starter, alternator rebuild and "Hotronics" remote electrical disconnect/anti-theft with new wiring and fuse panel was added. Other upgrades include, new "Gennie shifter, new 18 gallon gas tank, ,valve covers, horns and throttle cable. I have receipts totaling $13,436 for this work, all professionally done. Miscellaneous Details: New "Optima" battery and "Optima Slip Clamp" tray installed 2010 ($254). New "B. F. Goodrich Radial T/A" tires with less than 1000 miles. Size 235/70R15 Rear, 215/65R15 Front. At the time of restoration, all new DOT approved tinted glass was installed along with new gauges and left and right hand swan neck mirrors. This was a radio delete car. A "JVC" stereo AM, FM, CD radio was installed under the uncut dash. The brake system, including parking brake works perfectly, stops straight and smoothly. All safety items, lighting, 4-way flashers, horn, wipers, locks and seat belts are operable. A new factory type heater is installed but no heater hoses are connected to it (not needed here)). The speedometer was calibrated (65 is actual 64 MPH). Odometer works properly but I cannot certify mileage as actual mileage. Car has not been smoked in. Buyer must have a clean bid history or call first. Deposit of $1000 must be received (wire transfer or cash in person) within 48 hours. Balance due within 14 days. For balance, I will accept wire transfer, cash in person or Cashier's check (which must clear prior to cars release). Costs for transporting or shipping will be the buyers responsibility. Upon completion of sale, I will deliver a clear, signed off California title, current registration, all receipts and extra keys.
