Thank you for viewing our auction! Here is a rare 1983 Mercedes 300TD touring estate wagon with only 148,500 actual miles! This car is all original and in nice condition with some very desired options! It has the full LEATHER seat package ($$$$) with factory installed third row seat packageas rear "loudspeaker" speaker bar. It has the full zebrano wood trim along with very rare dealer installed zebrano shift knob. It includes the original premium Blaupunkt cassette player as well as a factory Mercedes Blaupunkt CD player that looks just like the original radio (Installed). It has the roof rack with horizontal stripes for appearance, a glow plug heater for extreme climates, and 60/40 folding second row seats! These cars cost nearly as much as two Cadillacs in 1983.. and loaded up like this must have cost a small fortune. The exterior of this car is in very nice condition. You would not believe the attention this car gets at car shows, let alone a quick trip to the gas station. The exterior has been freshly detailed and shines like new. Light Ivory is one of the most timeless and most popular color choices. This one doesn't disappoint. All glass is original, every molding and trim piece and moulding is present. The wheels are nearly immaculate. NO visible body rust, clean wheel arches, front air dam, etc... these are usually the parts other sellers hide. Please pay attention to how clean and rust-free the rockers, jacking points, and wheel wells are on this vehicle. One mechanic who worked on this car said the underside was extremely clean and that this car was an absolute pleasure to work on. Please do, however, expect the typical flaw here or there being 30-years old. The interior on this car is original and in good shape. It is Palinomo in color and looks excellent with the Light Ivory exterior. It has been freshly detailed and is clean and free from odors. The seats are supportive, comfortable, and show light wear with a small tear in the drivers seat. All zebrano wood trim is in excellent shape and free from cracks, with bonus dealer installed zebrano shift knob. The door panels are in great shape as is the headliner. I have included a set of 80s Mercedes dealer upgrade script floormats pulled from another highly optioned 300 series. The The manual moonroof was lubricated and works great. All of the power windows also work great. Even the power antenna works just as it should with the nice Blaupunkt CD player. This car was well maintained and runs just like it should with only 148k miles. The very expensive rear suspension has been inspected and serviced, with new hydrualic accumulators and swaybar endlinks this car rides like a Cadillac, not a 30 year old Mercedes. It always starts right up and has a nice diesel sound... it picks up to speed very well. The engine runs strong, and vacuum shifting transmission shifts smooth, just as it should. Vaccuum options such as the suction door locks, climate control functions, shutoff, shifting, etc all work. This car runs and drives great including at highway speeds. Newer tires with about 80% treadlife remaining. Brakes work just as they should, no shaking or pulling when slowing on the highway. Exhaust is quiet, and emissions equipment is still in place.
