Hello this listing if for a 1973 Buick Riviera Boat Tail GS Stage 1. CLEAN TITLE and low original miles 98K! NO RESERVE!! I collect classic cars and this has been by far one of my favorites, unfortunately i have two other projects ahead of this one and don't have the the time to spend on it. If you are a classic car enthusiast you will know some or most of this info i will provide. The Buick Riviera Boat Tail was only made from 1971-1973 so this is the last year of the truly collectable riviera's. Only 34,080 of these were produced, and only 3,933 were Gran Sports (GS). Out of those 3,933 GS models there were only 1.234 that had the stage 1 motor/packge! SO THIS CAR IS ONE OF 1,234 EVER MADE!!!! and of those 1,234 ever made there cant be more than a handful still around let alone on the road...this isn't your everyday boat tail...its a GS STAGE 1!!! so now that you know how special and rare this car is ill list a few of the many options it has standard... 455 CI high output V8 engine, which has a top speed of 127 MPH and goes 0-60 in 8 seconds, along with a 16 second 1/4 mile, 3.23 Posi-Traction 12 bolt 9 3/8 rear end from Canada, original wheels, all trim is original and complete, no cracks in any of the glass, powerhouse 400 TH Transmission, power locks, power windows, cruise control, power seats, tilt wheel, factory A/C, heater, original 8 track in perfect condition, and much more... The engine is very strong and the transmission is smooth as can be! starts right up every time and drives great...i would say you could drive this car home however it does have sun cracks on the tires so i wouldn't suggest any long road trips without a tire change... I drive it to work and back and around town about 3 days a week...but I'm sure it could use a little tune up and oil change. The body is in great shape with only one spot on the rear lower quarter panel on the passenger side that would need a little attention... The interior is all original and in great shape... The headliner is perfect with no rips or tears...the carpet is nice as well...it has two sets of keys the original jack and spare tire on the rim in the trunk along with the original front and rear license plates...this car was owned by a guy who handed it down to his son and he handed it down to his son. The grandson ran into financial struggles and had to sell the family jewel to me...All in all this car is very close to being ready for the car shows or as a daily driver..a paint job, tune up, and some light interior work and its ready to go...if your looking for a car that no one else has and is a definite classic this one will be perfect...i hate to see this car go but i will also be happy to see it go to a good home and get the attention it deserves... This car books average retail at $12,500 and high retail at $22,500. Get this gem along with a piece of history while its up for grabs...Happy bidding and best of luck!!!! On Nov-13-12 at 22:14:03 PST, seller added the following information: ***REVISION TO AD*** After doing a lot of research and with a lot of help from the viewers and bidders of this ad, i wanted to make sure to revise this ad so there are absolutely no unanswered questions..I was told by a classic car dealer along with a guy from the riviera forum this was a GS model...but the fact that it is missing its GS emblems makes me not feel comfortable listing it as a GS...In 1973 the Grand Sport went from a model of Riviera to simply a separate handling package that didn't necessarily change the interior..it was a separate option that could be added for better handling performance...HOWEVER THIS CAR IS 100% a STAGE 1 CAR!!!...the car proves it, and the VIN# proves it...so this car is far more valuable than a GS model would be..Its still 1 of only 1,234 made...its still the most rare car riviera has produced...and because of the upgraded Stage 1 motor/ package, it naturally has an upgraded handling package to support the weight and performance, which if i can remember right is called the H2 handling package...just wanted to be clear on this...but I've received a few messages from people wondering where the GS emblems are so I've revised this ad to make sure we are all on the same page...THIS IS A STAGE 1 RIVIERA and that what it is being sold as. Thanks again for the help and let me know if you have any other questions...there has been a large amount of interest in this car so I've tried to answer everybody's messages as soon as i get the chance..ill be very happy to help with the shipping arrangements and final process as i know it can be somewhat of a stress...but ill do my best to help out wherever i can. Thanks again and good luck to you all..happy bidding! Hello this listing if for a 1973 Buick Riviera Boat Tail Stage 1. CLEAN TITLE and low original miles 98K! NO RESERVE!!
