1959 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan - Old School Hot Rod ENGINE - 350 4 bolt mail block bored .060 to give 360CL Short Block professionally built by City Motor Supply of Dallas TX (www.citymotorsupply.com) Aluminum raised port fast burn heads 11 to 1 compression Lunati solid lifter cam Comp Cams roller tip rockers 6 quart oil pan Windrage Tray Edelbrock 2 x 4 RPM Air Gap manifold Dual 400 cm AFB carburetors Summit Digital CD ignition Hefman headers TRANSMISSION & CLUTCH - Borg Warner T5 five speed world class 2.95 first gear. Weber aluminum flywheel and Weber pressure plate. New clutch disk. It turns 2200 RPM at 70 MPH. REAR END Orginal housing & carrier with 4.56 gears & Chevrolet posi unit (not a "P" case) SUSPENSION & STEERING The tie rod ends, ball joints, A-frame bushings & front sway bar bushings are new. Rear suspension bushings are new. Shocks are good and the steering is tight. This car drives down the road straight and true. The drum brakes are good and stop straight. WHEELS AND TIRES New American Racing Torque Thrust Originals (TTO) with new front tires. Rear tires are 75%. Front wheels are 5 x 15 and rears are 8.5 x 15. BODY Car is over 50 years old and has some minor rust but not much for it's age. Left rear floor pan has been replaced. Left rear inner fender needs some work on lower inner panel outside ok, trunk floor has a few minor holes. Bumpers and stainless trim are all intact and in fair condition. Paint is an older application in original factory colors. the glass is all good. The wiring is original and in good condition. Weather stripping is in resonably good condition. The doors and truck open & shut easily and window mechanisms work easily. Lights work well, including glove box light. Radiator has been cleaned. INTERIOR Nicely painted gray dash and trim with original guages and aftermarket tachomter, oil pressre and water temp. New black "stars" headline and new black and white naugahyde seat covers and door panels. Good and almost new carpet. This is not a pristine show car but it is a fun, eye catching drive quality car.
