Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a very original 1974 911 Coupe with 46k miles. I’m going to assume it really has 146k miles, otherwise it would be a time capsule! This car spent the majority of its life in the dry climate of Colorado. Therefore, the car is structurally rust free! The car is not a show car by any means, but rather an excellent original driver. The body is overall in great shape with a couple dents. A couple are in the driver’s door which is pictured. These dents are very shallow and may be able to pop them out with a PDR guy. The paint looks good but is slightly oxidized. A buff could take the oxidation off and make it nice and shiny again. The interior is all original. The original carpets are in great shape. The seats and upholstery are also in great shape. The driver’s door pocket is included in a separate in a box. This car was optioned with factory A/C! This is the original Behr A/C that was installed in the factory. It is currently disabled, but everything is there to get it going again. Mechanically the car drives excellent and runs like a scalded cat. The only issue I would address is that it takes a several cranks to start when cold, due to the faulty cold start regulator. Once running and warm, she runs perfect. The brakes were recently completely rebuilt. I have a free and clear title. Overall, this is a super original example of an early “mid-year” car, with many similarities to the early 911. For example, the car still has its original 6” Fuchs forged alloy wheels, the rare polished stainless-steel driver’s external flag mirror only for early midyear cars, the chrome anodized window trim that is found on the early 911s, the chrome headlight rings, the small rear rubber bumper guards that were for 1974-only, etc… These early mid-year cars (especially the original examples) are gaining a lot of popularity due to its close similarities of the early 911 and its root’s of the iconic 911 model that has stood to the test of time. In fact, 1974 was the first year of the impact bumper cars that is responsible for making the classic 911 design that many people envision when Porsche 911 is mentioned.
