This is rare caddy in need of restoration the body is mosty solid and the original motor has been pulled and put in the back. Obviously, any hearse is rare due to their inherently limited production however this particular vehicle is noteworthy of the term “ultra-rare” for several reasons. · In 1942, the war effort halted civilian vehicle manufacturing prematurely. design engineers added an additional 5-5/8” inches of vertical height to the body by inserting metal into the cowl, hood and radiator in order to make the overall profile more proportional. Subsequently, the door and body panels are taller than a standard, 42 Cadillac. All of this translates to this hearse having a commanding presence over its peers. In fact, it is 55” from the ground to the nose of the Goddess hood ornament!
