Vehicle Detail

1965 VW BEETLE* FIRST I MUST EXPLAIN MY ONLY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! I SOLD A VINTAGE 40 YEAR OLD WORKING SLOT CAR SET, IN OBVIOUSLY, USED CONDITION TO A BUYER. THE BUYER KEPT THE SET FOR OVER 40 DAYS (SOLD AROUND SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2012) THE SELLER WROTE ME A WEEK AGO, (AROUND OCTOBER 21ST) SAYING THE SET WAS BROKE (???) KEEP IN MIND HE HAS HAD IT FOR 40 DAYS. HE WANTED A REFUND AND I REFUSED BECAUSE HE BROKE THE SET AND TRIED TO SAY HE RECEIVED IT THAT WAY.... WHO KEEPS AN ITEM FOR 40 DAYS, THEN OPENS THE PACKAGE AND SAYS IT IS BROKE??? THE REST OF MY FEEDBACK IS POSITIVE, INCLUDING VEHICLE SALES FOR $4000, $4200, AND $8200 AUCTIONS. NOW ON WITH MY AUCTION....Up for auction is my 1965 VW Beetle. I bought this bug from California and records I have go back 30 years. There has been alot of money invested in this car. The car runs very strong. It has an 1835 Dual Kadron Carb setup and is very quick. The car shifts with ease and the clutch is firm. The stance on this car is just right for the narrowed 4" adjustable beam. The car is Matte Black, and I had planned on having the car painted the original red color that you see inside the doors and engine compartment. There are the normal doot type dings here and there, but by no means is the body in bad shape at all. I also am including a 1965 decklid in near mint condition, as I was going to replace the existing decklid. This car gets looks wherever it goes. I have way too many projects right now and something has got to go. The car is garaged and not exposed to the outdoors. Here is a list of what the car has. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. I hold down a regular job and work during the day, so please be patient. If you were to buy an old 60's VW Beetle, you would spend FAR more to install all the parts this beetle already has. 1835 VW MOTORDUAL KADRON CARBS (CARBS COMPLETELY REBUILT IN MARCH 2012 : OVER $500 HAVE RECEIPTNEW DOOR PANELS AND RUGSNEW RECOVERED LOW BACK SEATSADJUSTABLE FRONT BEAM NARROWED 4"EMPI MAG WHEELSNEW TIRESORIGINAL AM RADIOPOP OUT REAR WINDOWSNEW TURN SIGNAL LENSES FRONT AND REARORIGINAL CHROMED BUMPERS IN GOOD CONDITIONORIGINAL EMPI ROOF RACK W/LOCKS (AND KEY) PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A CLASSIC 1965 VW BEETLE, BUT IT IS 47 YEARS OLD, NOT NEW. AS WITH ALL CLASSIC CARS, AND I HAVE OWNED MANY, THERE IS EXPECTED CONDITION. WITH THAT SAIS, I HAVE DESCRIBED THE CAR TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY, IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING. I WILL DO MY BEST TO ANSWER, BUT I AM NOT AN EXPERT OF VW'S. IF YOU WANT THE CAR INSPECTED, YOU CAN DO SO AT YOUR EXPENSE. THIS SHOWS I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE.WINNING BIDDER MUST MAKE A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF $500 WITHIN 24 HOURS OF WINNING THE AUCTION, VIA PAYPAL, NO EXCEPTIONS. IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION, YOU OWN THIS CAR. YOU ARE NOT BIDDING TO COME LOOK AT IT. REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 5 DAYS BY A CASHIERS CHECK ONLY, NO EXCEPTIONS (SAFE FOR YOU AND ME).WINNING BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS AND COST. I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR TRANSPORT TO PICK UP OF COARSE, PLEASE GIVE ME 24 HOUR NOTICE OF PICKUP, I WORK DURING THE DAY AWAY FROM HOME.NO INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS. LOWER 48 STATES ONLY. THE CAR WILL ALSO BE FOR SALE LOCALLY, SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION EARLY IF IT SELLS LOCALLY. IF THE RESERVE HAS BEEN MET IN MY AUCTION, I WILL NOT SELL THE CAR LOCAL AND LET THE AUCTION RUN TO THE ENDNO TRADES On Oct-30-12 at 15:05:18 PDT, seller added the following information: * I have had alot of inquaries to end the auction early for "cash". I will not end the auction early unless it sells local, before the reserve is met. The reserve is way below what it would cost to have installed a dual Kadron 1835 VW Motor, Narrowed and dropped beam, Empi Rims, new tires, rebuilt Kadron Carbs, new door panels, carpet, seat covers, bamboo tray, Original (not remade) Empi Roof Rack, Aussey Visor, etc.... plus it is a 1965, exempt from emmisions in most all states. Once reserve is met, the auction will run it's coarse, but until then I reserve the right to end the auction early. I say this because I have people scheduled to look at the car this Friday and Saturday.... if the car meets reserve before they arrive, I will let them know it can only be bought through Ebay... fair enough? I just do not want un-happy bidders saying they were waiting to bid until this weekend, and then find out the car was sold already because they failed to meet reserve of the auction... it really is a low reserve compared the the $$$ this car has in it... This goes without saying on a classic 47 year old car, but it is said on every used car for sale...lol. This car is sold as-is with no warrenties expressed or implied. Why that must be said is beyond me, anyone buying a 47 year old car should not expect that it is straight off the showroom floor..lol. Anyways, good luck to all... this is one sweet ride.
