Hard to find 1961 apache short wide with lots of patina. Its a real shop truck and a reliable daily driver. I use this thing alot and have recently taken both a five and seven hour round trip with no issues. it has a very sound 235 six and trusty 3 speed .the old girl rides and drives good and goes smoooth and straight down the road , with no pulls rattles ect... all lights, gauges , heater controls ect. work. wipers do work but needs some wiper arms. truck has just 102 k miles and does not smoke or use oil, and the trans rearend front suspension and shift linkage are all tight. amazingly the truck still has its origonal spiral shocks that work just fine' truck has been lowered 3' and 2' and has wider 8 inch wheels in rear , with 1965 biscayne hubcaps. truck has new, brakes, brake hoses, master cyl with clutch slave, nos. fuel tank carb rebuild tune up parts, radiator hoses, radiators been gone thru, and has been converted over to a one wire alternator/ with new belt. The body is pretty dry having been rescued from a west kansas farm whre she slept for 30 years. I have been a body man and restorer for a spell now and was impressed with the overall condition of the body on this truck. no bondo or funny stuff . what you see is what you get. normally bad areas like the roof , inner rockers and toe board area are all very good. the bed and tailgate are not beatup and twisted ect. sure there are a few pinholes here and there but thats to be expected on this model. the worst rust would be on the drivers side rocker outer skin. grille is good and straight ,and i have a nice factory chrome bumper for the front that goes with truck. vintage cooler pictured goes with too.
