1985 Toyota 4Runner Just purchased from the original owner who bought it new in 1985. It has a 5-Speed Manual Transmission with the legendary 4-Cylinder, Fuel Injected 22R-E Engine and the Solid Front Axle....the only year Toyota offered this combination in the 4Runner. Beautiful, original creme colored paint with absolutely no rust. The hard top had never been removed, but I removed it so I could properly clean the truck. This 4Runner looks brand new, including the interior....the owner used seat covers the entire time. It has the rare rear seat delete panel for the bed, as well as a dealer installed rear seat. Mechanically, this 4Runner has no issues. Everything works and functions as it should. It drives and handles extremely well. It has higher miles (290k) but you would never be able to tell by looking at it, or by driving it. The engine was rebuilt at 175k. I drove it home from Portland (6 hours) and it cruised along just fine at 70-75 mph. It also has a 14-gallon auxiliary gas tank, which is well hidden under the spare tire. 4.88 ring & pinion gears were installed as well. It includes all the original equipment including owner's manual, repair manual, tire jack, tool kit, original side view mirrors, spare tire mounting brackets and original sticker from the dealership. This is one of the cleanest 4Runners that I have ever seen, it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor. I can't explain how clean it actually is...I hope these pictures tell the story.
