Vehicle Detail

I am the 2nd owner of the truck and hate to see it go, however it's just not feasible for me to hold onto it at this point. It was originally purchased by the previous owner in Illinois, I then brought it to NY for a couple of years (stored in climate controlled building during winters) before moving to FL in 2008. The only damage it has ever seen was when i was lightly side-swiped, on the passenger side, by a Prius who decided they would rather be in my lane while driving by them when approaching a traffic light. The damage was repaired by a local Cadillac dealership the following week, and this happened in 2009 I believe. Other than that, the truck is in excellent shape for the year and mileage! As far as the modifications go, it's an extensive list but not radical. The truck has been serving me as a very reliable daily driver since I have been in FL. Drive-train mods: The original 4.8l v8 was swapped for a 6.0L Lq9 out of a 2004 Cadillac Escalade which was purchased on Ebay after the Escalade was destroyed en route to the dealership. The motor had less than 100 miles on it and was installed in the truck around the 40k mile mark, which would put current mileage on the motor around 50k miles. The motor (originally rated at 345hp) was upgraded with a Texas Speed Torquer II camshaft, larger injectors, and stiffer valve springs. There has not been any other internal engine mods to date, however this motor will really scream with some head work. Externally, the motor has long-tube ceramic coated headers, a custom twin tube high-flow air intake, and retrofitted electronic cooling fans. The original transmission was removed and replaced with a 4l65E unit which was completely rebuilt by AAMCO using performance parts including The Beast sunshell. The transmission was installed in the truck around the 82k mile mark, which means it has just over 10k miles on it since the rebuild. My plan was to eventually do a swap to a manual set up, otherwise I would have installed a rebuilt 4l80E transmission from a 3/4 ton truck. Also, the transmission currently has the factory torque converter installed, however I do have a 3600 stall converter that was removed and is in need of a rebuild itself. It really adds to the driving performance with that torque converter installed! The rear differential was outfitted with GM performance 4.10 gears and an Auburn Pro diff lock unit around 20-25k miles. These gears work perfectly with this set up as it still maintains over 17mpg on the highway, which is great considering 400+ hp and 4.10 gears! Exterior/Interior mods: The wheels are 22" Centerline forged rims, which do not weigh any more than the original set up, wrapped in new 285/35/22 Nitto NT 555 Extreme ZR rubber. The tires have approximately 85% life left. The rims are in rough shape. They look good from a distance, however 3/4 are extremely pitted along the inside lip and the chrome is peeling. The truck has been lowered using an Eibach lowering kit via 3" drop spindles up front and 4" drop leaf pack in the rear. It also has a 3" cowl-induction hood, aftermarket grille/lower front bumper/grille/tail lamps/roll pan. The tonneau cover is a Pace Edwards roll up which locks in place every 15" or so. The bed of the truck has been sprayed with Rhino-lining. The interior of the truck is mostly stock minus the Escalade gauges which were calibrated to the truck mileage when installed around 30k miles, and some custom yellow accents. The yellow leather on the steering wheel is stock! What the truck needs: The truck needs to be reprogrammed for the torque converter in the truck now, as it currently "thinks" that the 3600 is still installed. This means that shift points are a little off, and the idle/fuel ratio are also off. Having the 3600 converter rebuilt and installed again will make it run much better, however the truck still screams with stock converter. The paint is probably a 7/10 right now as there is some rust on the top of the roll pan, between it and the tailgate. Also, in spite of my best efforts to keep it waxed regularly, the roof has faded and may just need a good buffing? The following link contains multiple pictures/video of the truck: http://s98.beta.photobucket.com/user/zom91/library/ Overall, the truck is in fantastic shape considering the year and mileage! I absolutely love this truck and wish I had the extra time and money to bring this back to the show quality it was in when I won 1st place in my class at the Carslisle All-Truck Nationals in Carslisle, PA. At this point I need to move on, unfortunately I can't justify keeping it any longer! If you end up being the lucky winner of this auction, you will not be disappointed in any way. My loss = your gain, as the reserve on this auction is very low at $9000 and will not bring anywhere close to the amount money and love that has been invested in this truck! The truck is listed locally, so I do reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally before the end of the auction. The truck is also sold "As-Is" with no warranty expressed or implied after the sale. Shipping is to be completely handled by the buyer. 20% is due by cashiers check or money order within 48 hrs after the auction ends, with the remaining balance due upon pick up by the buyer.
