Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1968 Mustang Fastback. It is a C-code. It has been upgraded from the original 3 speed transmition to a newer 4 speed. It runs and drives very well but is a restoration project. It has new dual exhaust, interior components such as new seat upholstery, door panels, dash pad etc. Needs new carpet. Paint was done in the 1990's and has plenty of nicks and flaws. Its a 20 footer for sure and gets thumbs up everywhere but is in need of a current restoration. I purchased this car about 2 years ago and paid considerably more than my reserve thinking I would just have it painted and have a really nice Fastback to drive and take to local shows. It needs a bit more than was described to me and $18,000 later I am selling it for much less so here is a good chance for someone else to get a better deal than I did. The car was originally burgandy with white stripe with black interior (I have Marti Report). It is now dark red with black stripe and retains its black interior. It has a very strong well running 289 which is the original motor. It only has 120k actual documented miles. Like I said it has newer dual exhaust that sounds very good. It has a later 4 speed conversion, was a factory 3 speed. Clutch is a bit tight. Brakes work well. This is a car that you could drive while fixing up. The interior is nice except for the carpet but new carpet comes with the car. All glass is excellent. Very complete car, with all chrome and interior parts installed. Front and back seats were reupholstered a few years ago and still look great. Now to the main most important part. The floors are usable as is but are not restored and believed to be original. There are some spots that will eventually want attention but it will not require full floor replacement. Frame rails look solid. Truck is very good and solid, as is cowl. There is some rust on the body under the paint starting to come up in typical areas, mostly on bottom of rear quarters. Also some pinholes on bottom of one door. I am selling my car for a low reserve and will consider adding a buy it now for the right offer. The title is clear and ready to go. I will assist in any transport process. Thanks and good luck!!
