Vehicle Detail
I have owned this car for over 11 years. She has been my daily driver, road trip car for all that time. I have replaced nearly everything on this car at least once.I have all service records since I have owned this car.She currently needs a new manual transmission, which Ihave already replaced 3 times! So I have a low reserve, taking $1200 off the asking price for the new tranny Perhaps I'm no being clear on the manual transmission...... It will need one in the future. It is still totally drivable. In fact, I still drive it everyday. Since I have replaced the tranny before I recognize the symptoms......1st gearand reverse can be a little tricky sometimes and when it is in gear and I am driving, sometimes the transmission makes a growling noise. I drive it everyday! Other than that she runs like a dream! Always has! I need a new car with air bags for my business.:( Oh...and I almost forgot. I have the original waffle weave replacement seat covers, with extra vinyl and a brand new replacement dash to go with the sale. On Oct-25-12 at 06:25:09 PDT, seller added the following information: DON'T LET THIS OPPORTUNITY PASS YOU BY! Here is your chance to own a Classic Convertible Bug! Totally a great car! I love her so much! It breaks my heart to let her go.I have been ever so slowly restoring her since I got her 11 years ago.I have replaced most parts on the car at least once.I put the new convertible top on when I bought her. It does not leak!New windsheild, rear window, running boards, side mirrors, bumpers, fenders. They look a little worse for wear these days, but everything is easily changedout on these cars....one of the many reasons they are so wonderful. This engine is about 8 years old with about 80,000 miles on it.I've replaced about every part you can name. The clutch last year, the manual transmission then too. The generator, voltage regulator, distributor to a .009, fuel pump, coil, fan, gas tank, fuel gauge, speedometer, master cylinder, muffler, exhaust, new pans both sides in the back...so many more....this is what I remember.I have all service records. I'm thinking the manual transmission is going....I've changed it 3 times now.I kinda know the symptoms. I could be wrong though, she hasn't been to the mechanic. So anyway, I have a low reserve, taking $1200 off to replace the tranny. She has been the greatest car I have ever owned!I have to replace her for my business. :(I need a new car with air bags. HAPPY BIDDING!!
