Vehicle Detail

Talk about an icon! The last of the rear-wheel-drive Impalas were genuine cult cars the day they hit the showrooms. This lovely Dark Cherry Metallic Impala SS is a very nice modern day muscle car. From the factory Chevrolet took a 1995 Caprice luxury cruiser, A vehicle said to have more passenger room than the largest Mercedes-Benz, and put a beastly 350CI 5.7L LT1 fuel injected Corvette engine in it! An engine so powerful that the vehicle can't even hang onto the road even with its enormous 255 performance tires! Using an engine with 260 HP & 330 LB/FT of torque made it a collectable piece that was a riot to drive!! On top of an LT1 it received sport suspension with carbon shocks, 4 wheel disk brakes, dual exhaust and a better cooling system!! It was fitted with 3.08 gears and a different camshaft for more low end torque!! Now that Chevrolet turned a Caprice into a perfromance monster they then tweaked the already stealthy looks and named it the legendary Impala SS. SS which stands for Super Sport followed the name giving people yhe subtle hint that this is not a car to be messed with!! As said by many, this is the modern day Buick Grand National!! Only made from 1994-1996 with low production numbers this is a vehicle thats value will only go up in the years to come!! This Impala SS has it all!! Gray leather interior with embroidered seats!! Power Everything!! COLD A/C! Keyless Entry! Cruise Control! Automatic Day/Night Rearview Mirror! This has been a southern car all its life so no worries about rust. If you are looking for a reliable full size car that looks great, this is it! There is a reason that Police and Taxi's use this type of car. I have recently replaced the Optispark Distributor, Water pump, Mass Air Flow Meter, and Starter. I would trust driving this car cross country. The Dark Cherry was one of three colors available in '95, and arguably the most attractive. The Impala came only one way: loaded. A/C, cruise control, power windows and locks, and a powerful stereo were standard equipment, and it all works like new. Pop the trunk and you'll find commodious storage that looks factory-fresh, complete with original spare tire and cargo net. The Impala's real claim to fame was a Corvette-derived LT1 V8, a version of which was also shared with taxi cabs and police cruisers, so it's powerful as well as virtually indestructible. The LT1 barks to life easily, idles smoothly, and it pulls like a freight train. The 4-speed automatic is smooth and shows no signs of wear, and the suspension is an ideal combination of ride and handling. Iconic wheels were a big part of the Impala's look, and these wear wide 255 perfomance tires. This SS is the last of the rear-wheel-drive American performance sedans that has no equal, and like when they were new, this one won't be around for long. The neat thing of about this car - is that there are many businesses, car clubs, and web sites dedicated to the 94-96 Impala SS. A popular one is NAISSO (Google them) that is the main brain-trust for these Impalas. It has a ton of after-market hot rod parts and accessories available. You can customize your Hot Rod Chevy to be the way you want it to be. This one has been customized with a K&N Performance Intake System, throaty dual exhaust, and new Dark Cherry paint with metallic flake thats only a few years old. There is a HUGE following for this car - and there are a ton of real knowledgeable guys (also NAISSO) out there to help you with virtually any question you may have with your car. They readily provide you with tips and tricks to make your Hot Rod Chevy Impala SS the best it can be. The 94-96 Impala guys are a great bunch! If you would like to have this car shipped, I can give you the number of a shipper that I have used in the past that is reliable and inexpensive. If you want to use another shipper, I will work with them to help them load the car.
