Under the hood, the standard 383 two-barrel V8 290 horsepower (216 kW), runs great with no problems this car has no cancer no body rot it has always be stored indoors The body is incredibly straight, and shows NO dings . As you can see in the photos I have provided below, it is a stunning and super clean body that looks amazing This Newport is about a flaw and issue free as a car can be, and has so much originality you cannot help but shake your head in amazement when you see it for the first time! All of the chrome and brightwork on the car is in excellent condition, This includes rocker mouldings, door handles, mirrors, fender , antenna, and window trim bands. The car rides on 16" Chrysler steel rims with wheel covers. The covers are in excellent condition,Steering wheel is super clean and the horn function just like you would expect it to. All of the glass in the car is the original, factory tinted pieces that the car was born with. No cracks, marks, or lamination issues Vent windows function off rollers as they should, and side windows go up and down with ease. All of the window fuzzies, rubber mouldings, and seals still look good, Inside the trunk, the factory original jack and tire change kit is still in place, as is a full size spare, although it is not a matching tire to the four units on the car. The floor pans on the car are original and solid, and this is due to the cars care and storage, There are no signs off rust on the underside of the car, and just the faintest sign of normal oxidation on bolts and exposed metal that easily wisks off with a wire brush. Should you elect to detail the undercarriage, it would be an easy job, but the originality is well worth preserving. The engine bay is in amazing condition, and shows like it were 1969 and you were shopping for a clean used car!!! all major seals has been replaced valve cover,oil pan,belly and inteke manifold cover Of course,and transmission hass being complete rebuild some hoses and things were replaced over the years for reliability, but for the most part, the engine bay retains its original appearance and parts Factory AC ! Power steering . Everything in correct working order. Like going back to 1968 all over again.
