Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1954 Ford F250. This truck has undergone a teardown and restoration job. She has been gone through and the restoration is 90% complete. She runs/drives down the road just fine. Here are some details: Original 223 Inline 6 cylinder motor, complete rebuild done. Less than 1000 miles since the rebuild.Brakes have been updated to new front disc brakes, new dual master cylinder. New e-brake lining installed. Needs e-cable. Converted to 12 volt negative ground (original was 6 volt positive ground). All new wiring harness, wires, lights, etc.Custom built 8' flatbed with coated wood floor and wooden bed stakesDana 44 rear-end allows highway speeds (She likes to sit around 63 miles per hour on the interstate) Radial tires helps with the ride. 15" Ford rims, painted to match body color. Toyota Power Steering Conversion completed (dependable, safer and smoother steering). Bucket seats with built-in safety beltsFront end rebuilt with new king pins, leaf spring bushings. Straight axle setup.Original 1904 Holley Carb has been rebuilt and runs great.Cab and firewall has been completely insulated against heat/sound.Carpeted floors.Electrical windshield wiper conversion (modern components) New body/motor mounts. New gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines.Locking glove box door (rare option that year). New ignition switch and keys. Clear MICHIGAN TITLE. Things needed to complete the truck: Needs headliner. A few trim pieces need replaced and installed. Needs blower motor for heat (didn't intend on driving in winter so never installed). Some paint needs touch up and buffed out. Needs an e-brake cable. Door locks installed but don't have a key. Original gauges are there but I didn't hook them up except for the speedometer (which is accurate). It has a instrument cluster with updated gauges mounted elsewhere. You can either finish it or drive it the way it is. I have over 2 years of work into the restoration. Life and obligations have forced me to sell this truck (but I won't give it away). All components have been gone through. The paint/body work on the truck are daily driver quality, nothing more. Frame was stripped and coated with POR15. Any sheetmetal rust was cut out and new metal was welded in or the piece replaced all together. All underneath areas were sprayed with undercoating for durability and protection. She was built to drive, not be a show truck. I have been told she is an "10 footer". She is not perfect but I am proud of her. If someone wanted to repaint and make it a show truck, they could, but I couldn't justify a high-dollar paint job. I drive her about 100 miles per week. She does drip a few quarter sized oil spots from the rear main seal (common issue on the 223 but not major). She loves to run and be driven. No overheating issues. I believe in driving my trucks, not letting them sit. One of the reasons I love this truck is that most of it is original. The motor, transmission, rear end are all FORD. Things have been refreshened but not butchered up and replaced with incorrect motors, etc. Open to barters/trades and other offers, especially 60's Mustangs. Email with any questions. Truck is available for viewing by appointment. The truck is located in Berrien Center, MI (SW Michigan). 1.5 hours from Chicago, 25 minutes from South Bend, Indiana. Can deliver for a fee anywhere within the lower 48 states. I reserve the right to end the auction early as I have it for sale locally. If you really want the truck I encourage you to bid and buy it now. Thanks for looking.
