Vehicle Detail

1998 Nissan Altima SENO RESERVE! Starts up every day, drives great. Maroon color, wood grain console, sunroof, all power, 4 cl 5 speed manual transmission. Clean CarFax and clean Title in hand. KBB estimates this car as being worth $1700 in "fair condition. Car does need a little TLC, but it's a great "cheap" car for someone who needs something to just get from "A" to "B"Pro'sRecently replaced:AlternatorNew BatteryNew ignition switchClutch replaced 1 year agoTires still have plenty of tred leftNever been in a major accident- 1 "accident" reported on carfax, but I was hit in the rear...no damage.2nd ownerConsHigh miles, 209,000 however it's been very well maintained....regular oil changes etc. Will go for another 100,000 if maintained well.Check engine light is on, could just need a new gas cap, but will most likely need a smoke test to determine why the light is on.A/C was broken when NTB replaced my battery, so that will need to be fixed if you want A/CHorn Needs fixing......does work, but not very wellCar does show normal wear and tear, dings, scratches...etc.Buyer will be responsible for arranging and paying for any and all shipping costs. Please e-mail, or call with any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. (781) 913-4848On Oct-17-12 at 20:22:40 PDT, seller added the following information: *REVISED* UPDATE: As a courtesy to the eBay long distance community (and given that this is the first time I've sold a car - and I'm a GIRL!) I had the car pre-inspected mainly to look into the horn issue, turns out that the vertical member that latches to the hood and then bolts to the crossbeam where the front engine mount attaches is broke. The crossbeam has rotted and will eventually need to have a new piece of metal welded in to tie the floating engine mount to. The top of that the vertical piece is spot welded but unhooked itself (and the vertical member is free floating) in the cold New England weather when the hood was opened. So, the hood does not latch appropriately now. The horn is partially operational because it's attached to that vertical member and since the vertical member is detached the ground to complete the horn electrical circuit isn't complete. The alternator is original, I thought that my father had it replaced with the new battery and new ignition cylinder in the steering column. The AC compressor is probably in need of replacement, and NTB pinched an AC line when they replaced the battery. The Check Engine Light is on due to a "P1440 Evap System Small Leak" Forgot to mention that the car has a remote power door lock key fob! The front doors have body rot near the door plungers for the dome light. Dome light still works when you unlock car remotely with key fob. Front right CV boot is torn, some clicking on right-hand turns. Should be a repair kit for that. Sorry, hope that you still are interested!!
