Vehicle Detail
Thank you for looking at my 1963 Falcon Futura convertible. I bought this car with the intent of a resto-mod and keeping it forever. Time and space restraints have made me reluctantly change my mind and sell it. It's a great car, but not perfect. I really don't know much history on the car. Older restoration. Its perfect to drive as is and tinker with or be a really good point for a complete teardown. I'm here to sell it with a very low reserve. PLEASE only bid if you intend to buy. I'll be happy to answer all questions as best I can before you bid. PLEASE READ: $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. Remainder of sale price to be paid by cash or certified funds at pickup. If remainder is paid by paypal, 3% WILL BE ADDED to final price. Shipping is buyer's responsibility. I will help as much as I can. 1965 code 289, 600 Holley, mild cam, new tune up, belt, hoses. Engine does not smoke, runs excellent. Had the intake off and it was as clean as a new rebuild in the valley, but I have no documentation that it has been. Rare true Cal Custom finned valve covers. c4 auto 5 bolt conversion done, originally a six cyl car. Its a true Futura. Paint and body are showing signs of an older restoration, a few cracks, bubbles, and faded paint. Floors have been repaired, but inner rockers are rusted. It needs weatherstripping, the trunk lock is missing but it latches, I have the chrome trim around the top boot and the proper hardware to attach it. The bumpers have some dents and the chrome isn't perfect but not bad. This also describes the rest of the chrome on the car. Power top is excellent and works perfectly. Bucket seats, seatbelts, restored steering wheel, good condition of interior, but not perfect. Overall a very good car. Great for enjoying some of the warm days still left in the year then tinkering with it this winter on all the little things to have it ready for fun next spring. Thanks again for looking and happy bidding! On Oct-17-12 at 17:22:55 PDT, seller added the following information: A potential bidder asked me about the condition of the areas around the rear shackles and torque box area. To be honest, I hadn't really looked at them. I have added pictures of those areas. It is rusty, but in my opinion repairable. It is an almost 50 year old convertible. I wanted to post this update because the next bid will likely meet the reserve and I don't want to seem misleading in any way. Thanks again.
