Vehicle Detail
This is a USED car. It's over 40 years old. AS IS WHERE IS. I have owned this car for 4 years. It's not a "flip". Runs, Drives, Stops, Goes. Has cd player. It's a 3 speed C4 automatic. Manual DRUM brakes. Manual Steering. There are some squeaks, rattles, leaks, and other items expected with a 40+ year old car. It's still a driveable car. Refreshed 170 engine was installed due to noise in the original 200, which turned out to be a cracked flex plate! This car also comes with the original running 200cid engine, and the original rims and hubcaps. Repaired floor pans, replaced rocker panels. Other recent parts: U joints, muffler (Thrush glasspack!), seat upholstery, lower control arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, valve cover, fuel pump, water pump, upper radiator hose, thermostat, windshield, front seat belts, master cylinder, fuel lines, some brake lines, some brake components, rear drums, and many many other newer parts. The bumpers have also been replaced. The exhaust is loud, thanks to the glasspack. I like it that way. You might not. If not, replace it. Also a Pertronix Ignitor ignition and FlameThrower coil were installed in place of the ancient breaker points. This car has an extra engine, and the original rims/hubcaps. Buyer will be responsible for paying a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction close via paypal. Pickup within 10 days. Too many toys forces the sale of this car. ANY QUESTIONS, ASK THE SELLER. ALL SALES FINAL. This is originally a Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky car, based on the DSO tag on the drivers door. It's been driven lightly for the last several years. Not sure of true mileage. May be 27,000 may be 127,000 I'm not the original owner. This car also comes with some extra parts, including a brand new headliner. If you are local to the Detroit or Toledo area, you may check out this car locally. Otherwise, contact me for any details. The rims pictured in the ad are on the car, and come with it as well. The car has a newer rebuilt carburetor. The spare engine is complete intake to pan other than cap/rotor/plug wires. Yes, it runs. The car also comes with an original motorcraft 1100 carb, with manual choke. The SELLER reserves the right to END THIS AUCTION EARLY. I may end the auction early, as the vehicle is advertised outside of eBay as well. I may also end this auction early for local bidders, who can pick up right away. Local bidders message me prior to bidding so I can be aware of your proximity to pick up (as I may end the auction for You) I have added more pictures of the interior per your requests. You can see the carpeted dash overlay, the reupholstered seats, and the door panels. A few negatives: The straight piece of chrome trim is missing from under the back window. It's been that way since I bought the car. Note that the DRIVERS door armrest is not in great shape. All 4 door "Cups" around the door handles are "chalky" and could stand to be replaced, I have a catalog with these parts available still, they interchange with many Fairlane parts. There are a set of original headrests in the trunk if you choose to install them on this car. There is a picture of the new headliner, with a whole bunch of blue wind lacing to spruce up the interior with too. The transmission cooling lines are a little rusty, and should be replaced. They have been a little rusty for 4 years. I add fluid occasionally, and I drive. The front brake rubber hoses should also be replaced soon, they are old, and there is a slight leak from the left front brake. I therefore also keep an eye on the brake fluid. The exhaust "DONUT" seems to go bad once in a while (the gasket between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe. (I've put about 12000 miles on the car since I've owned it) Time is running out to ask questions. I work for a living and will not be home most of the final auction day. I will still answer any questions that I can for you bidders.
