Vehicle Detail
I bought this great one-owner brick in May thinking that I'd be commuting to a new job, but my situation changed and I no longer need a car. 1993 Volvo 240 Wagon. White exterior, blue interior. Currently has about 135,000 miles (will confirm actual mileage this afternoon) on it and is still running strong in prime "brick" fashion. New tires, new alternator, recent brakes, recent tune up with fluids and a few other new parts. Engine sounds good and starts right up on brisk mornings. Great on highway, took road trips recently with no problems. This should be a good car well into Volvo heaven. Body is clean and straight with no visible rust, but a few small dings, scratches, and imperfections in the paint here and there consistent with a car this age. Light covers were glued on by former owner. No rips or tears in seats, carpets are clean, but the parking brake cover has been cracked (plastic piece retained for easy repair). AC worked just fine all summer, original stereo and speakers still play fine (never tried cassette deck), glass is in great shape with no nicks or cracks. Clean titled and valid NY inspection through May 2014. On Oct-13-12 at 10:55:12 PDT, seller added the following information:THE ACTUAL MILEAGE IS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN WHAT I POSTED ABOVE. THE ACTUAL MILEAGE IS 118,417. Also, some answers about the body. There's a small dent on driver's side door about the size of a golf ball, but more like a line. No paint loss. Looks like previous owner opened door into something about knee-high. On passenger side door, the trim popped loose on one end in the car wash last week. It needs to be attached somehow. Again, all minor wear-and-tear things for a car this age. Overall, a solid, good looking body.On Oct-16-12 at 16:04:10 PDT, seller added the following information:In response to continued questions about the instrument panel and lights. Periodically upon start, the Service light comes on for about two minutes. As those of you whom are Volvo owners know, this is a timed reminder light that can be reset behind the dash. It doesn't indicate any maintenance issues. Also, regarding the body again, yes, there are small dents and marks on body throughout consistent with a car of this age that has been used and parked in the city. No rusting that I noticed but there is some spidering in a four inch section on the front left near the left turn signal. LASTLY, I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A GOOD CAR. I DROVE IT AROUND FOR ABOUT FOUR HOURS TODAY IN CITY AND ON HIGHWAY. BUT THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES. CAR IS SOLD AS IS.
