I would like to start off by telling you that I am a Chevy Man and own a dozen classic chevy's. I have worked on them my intire life so my knowledge is pretty good on the older cars and trucks. Some time back I ran across an ad on Craigslist about this Chevy Truck that was in need of being completed. I went by to take a look and what I found was pretty much a 90% complete basket case that was done except for re-assembly. This truck was located in Centennial Colorado. This is a very high end, upper scale suburb neighborhood in South Denver. The woman said that this was her husband's project but he had passed in 2008. I will tell you this, This truck was in a large garage completly disassembled with every body part painted. The cab, inner fenders, outter fenders,radiator support, engine, transmission, transfer case, bumpers and the bed were all off of the frame. I worked a price out with this lady and had a tow truck there a few days later. I loaded everything up as carefully as possible and had it all delivered to my house. This did not go over very well with my wife because I was pretty much cut off from buying anymore cars because as I have said, I have a dozen already and no place to put them. It has become some what of an addiction. That is a whole different story right there. In any case, I have no pictures of this because at the time I had no intentions of selling this truck. As I have said, when I got this home, everything was apart with alot of new parts. This guy was doing a complete restoration on this truck. The truck was completly stripped to bare metel. There is no body panals welded in anywhere. It has new inner and outter fenders, New battery tray, the wing windows were switched out with very good ones. New door seals, window felts and seals were replaced with new. The carpet was replaced with new. the back window was replaced with a slider. The wood bed is in great original condition. New windshield and new seat cover on undamaged bench seat. The bed and rear fenders are in original excellent condition. The cab supports, cab corners, floor boards and rocker panals are all original and rust free, very solid. the cab is a 1974 and I believe the bed is off 80's truck. The lady said her husband had the engine, transmission and transfer case all taken to a shop. I would have to believe this to be true because this man had put alot of time and money into this truck to just put some junk in it. All three look as if they are new. They all look to be in new or rebuilt condition. When I started this truck up for the first time, I did run it at 2,500 RPM for 20 minutes. Everything works great on this truck. I will tell you this, I have done alot of these trucks and when I reassembled everything, I was very percise and everything is done right, no short cuts!!!This is a very solid rust free truck that has had alot of time and money put into it. The transfer case is the good one, a 205 with lock out hubs. When the man had this truck down to the frame and had all the body parts painted, he also painted the entire frame and fire wall. When I said that this taken down to bare metal, you can see this on the tail gate. For some reason, the paint on the tail gate came off in the back. the rest of the truck is fine and the paint job is very nice. With that being said. I would also like to mention that I managed to put a few chips and scratches here and there. It is very difficult to reassemble an entire truck without getting a chip or scratch in the paint. Overall, it still looks very nice as you can see by the pictures.. A few other things about this truck, The only thing left to do is the exhaust. I did not have that done because I already have alot of money wrapped up into this truck and I cannot invest anymore. I did put the neutral safety that was on the clutch onto a switch just for security reasons. If someone tried to steal this truck they would have a hard time because the switch would have to be flipped in order to get power to the ignition. The truck is set up with dual saddle tanks. this truck was not original with dual tanks but now it is. I installed the fuel switch valve to switch from one tank to another and works great. As you can see by the pictures, this is a very good looking truck that was not hacked together. Everything is pretty much new and it is rust free as well as bondo free. Very solid truck. This truck is really as good as it looks and I cannot stress enough that this truck is 100% solid metal with no dents, bondo or hidden rust. All the fenders inner and outter as well as the battery tray still have the factory sticker on them. This truck has power steering, power brakes and disc brakes. I guarantee you that you will not find a more solid truck as nice as this one. I woiuld have to say that a good 10K has been put into this truck, but I will tell you this, it always seems that a person has more time and money into something than what he can get out of it. I dont believe there is much more that I can say about this truck. The entire bed is as nice as you will find anywhere and the front clop is all new also. I know I keep repeating myself but I cannot express enough that you will not find a more solid truck anywhere with most everything new or rebuilt. I also forgot to mention that in one of the pictures you will see a bunch of stuff that will go along with this truck. Just alot of extra parts that were replaced or not needed. There are wing windows, an edelbrock carburetor, door panale, stock exhaust manifolds, battery tray, blower motor and housing, rear window, steering gear box, new brake hardware, some of the exhaust componets, head lights, washer bottls, body panals that did not come with this truck, I just had them laying around and just threw them in because they would work for these years of trucks if you ever needed them. I will never use them. There are also several large vintage chiltons and a couple other vintage repair manuals and a alternator. there are several other odd and ends. All that goes with the truck.
