Vehicle Detail

Up for your consideration is an unrestored numbers matching 1970 Corvette Stingray. This is an L-46 350ci/350 hp (CTH stamped) car with a M20 Muncie four speed, with power steering and brakes in 982 Donnybrook green with a 414 brown interior, pretty rare combination. I have gone through the suspension, drive train and brakes on this car so it runs, shifts, drives and stops well. This is a driver car or a great candidate for restoration; it’s not a show piece and still needs some work. The good: I have replaced or rebuilt many things on the car to get it back on the road after nearly 30 years of setting. It has new tires, rotors, sleeved o-ring calipers, brake lines, master cylinder, KYB shocks, u-joints, parking brake, clutch and starter. The transmission has a fresh rebuild with a master kit including new third gear and heavy duty input shaft bearing from the Gear box. Trailing arms, rear leaf spring and wheel bearings were also freshly gone through. All fluids have been changed and it still has the original F70 spare tire and jack in back. As for the engine, it got a flame thrower II electronic ignition / coil, Comp roller tip rockers and a carb rebuild. I believe the engine to be stock internally and carries very good oil pressure so it was left alone. The bad: I’m told that the front clip has been replaced at one time with a complete GM original front end from another early 70’s Corvette. The bonding strips are all intact but the seam around the inside of the hood gives it away. The front end is an obvious repaint but from the doors back appears to be original lacquer as it is lifting and flaking in spots. The car needs paint. The radio, clock, wiper door and right front marker light do not work. The frame has been cleaned and painted but had some heavy scale from the doors back, also a kink where someone jacked it up on the transmission cross member. No holes anywhere and it’s pretty solid as well as the bird cage and radiator saddle. I have tried my best to accurately describe the car but I’m sure that there will be questions so please feel free to ask before the auction ends. Please do not bid if you’re unsure about the condition, shipping or your own finances. This is a low reserve auction and the reason for selling is to free up some of my fun money for other projects. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs.
