Vehicle Detail

Awesome Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61, VIN HJ61000229, with the correct, factory (not a swapped in) 12H-T turbo diesel engine. Very well taken care of and runs great. You barely have to breathe on the key and she starts. This engine has torque. You can do burnouts if you want to; the engine pulls like a locomotive. Equipped with the excellent H55F 5-speed manual transmission with granny low crawler first gear, all gears work great. Engine does not leak oil. Factory full floater rear axle, disc brakes, A/C works great, JVC CD player with iPod input. Factory rear heater unit under front seat. Headliner, floor sound deadener and seats are original and in fantastic condition. Cool extras include a dual air horn setup, factory front "Toyota" mudflaps and rear "Land Cruiser" mudflaps, and original "Toyota" interior floor mats as well. Original "TURBO" stitched seats! These are only found on factory original HJ61 Land Cruisers with the 12H-T. Ditto for the rear "TURBO" decal and red "Turbo" placard on the front grille. Nicely equipped for expeditions and overlanding with: turbo diesel engine, full length TJM roof rack, brand new ARB front winch bumper, new Warn W650F lights, Old Man Emu suspension lift and steering stabilizer, new heavy-duty Redline Motorsports rear bumper with dual recovery points, receiver hitch recovery shackle, four new Cooper Discoverer S/T MAXX Armor-Tek 33" tires mounted on Eagle Alloys Series 101 16" wheels, and the spare is also a Cooper S/T MAXX on a matching 16" Eagle Alloys wheel. Air conditioning blows cold, UHF radio unit, rare factory Toyota inclinometer in dash, digital clock, and all gauges work. Safari snorkel for water crossings, factory 12V electrics with a dual battery system, and two, new, high cold cranking amps Costco batteries. Rust is almost non-existent on this Land Cruiser. Floorboards are as new and immaculate--see photos. There's a bit of bush rash over right rear wheel well, rock chip rust dots in paint, surface rust only on springs and frame. Overall very straight body panels and very much rust free--check the pics! Rough spots include three rock chips in windshield, aforementioned bush rash, paint has faded and oxidation in portions, some stains and a piece of ripped carpet in rear cargo area, minor nicks and scratches as befits a Land Cruiser. Truck will come with the hitch mounted Freedom Grill FG-50, which has been a really fun and cool item on easier trips and tailgating at games, a NATO military 5-gallon diesel jerry can and a South African Front Runner 5-gallon water can with a clever tap at bottom for easy pouring. Both are great on expeditions. Also comes with the rare original factory owner's manual and Toyota tool kit! Located in Washington state with a clear title, titled as a diesel so no problems or emissions for California. Sold "as is" with no expressed or implied warranties. Zero feedback bidders MUST contact me prior to bidding. Payment via certified check only drawn on a major bank, or cash on pickup, no PayPal or personal checks, sorry. Happy to drop the Land Cruiser off at a depot in Tacoma, or meet a transport truck. I am a diesel Cruiserhead. My other rig is an HJ47 Troopy, visible in some of the pics. The HJ61 has been a very reliable truck for me on various expeditions, is currently a daily driver, always garaged in my ownership, never abused on or offroad, properly taken care of with filter changes and PM items, fuel economy is around 22-23mpg loaded. I would drive this cross country or across Africa tomorrow. There is no better rig for overlanding than a turbo diesel Toyota Land Cruiser and this one is a treat. The power and Toyota reliability of the 12H-T turbodiesel is legendary. I welcome and encourage questions and inspections prior to end of auction. This is a no reserve auction, first winning bid takes it. Thank you!
