Vehicle Detail
I am selling my beautiful 2001 Honda Passport. I actually had plans to keep this vehicle, but I purchased a new hybrid that gets better gas mileage and this vehicle has just been sitting in my driveway. I'd like it to go to someone who can really appreciate it. I have loved driving this vehicle and it has been my favorite purchase to date. A little about the Honda: This Honda comes fully loaded. This includes leather seats (see pictures for wear), a sunroof, ice cold AC, cruise control, airbags, power seats, etc. The paint job is two-tone (green and gold). It does come with a 6 disc CD player, but I believe there is something wrong with the actual disc changer itself. The radio works great. The rear drivers side head rest is not with the car. It wasn't there when I bought it and I did fine without it, so I never bought one. The engine in the honda is very strong. Starts up perfect every time. V6 205 HP. The transmission has been having some slight problems. I am not sure exactly what the issue is but I notice it in Reverse, 1st, and 2nd. If you put it in reverse and hit the gas right away, it hesitates. If you give it too much gas in 1st and 2nd it will hesistate to shift. I normally counteracted this with going easy on the gas and the hesitation is non-existant. At speeds faster than 25MPH there is no issue. And it drives strong on the highway. I have been told something about the brushes just needing to be replaced, but I do not have anything to back this up. The previous owner said he replaced the transmission at the dealership at 85K miles. It is not currently Inspected in Texas because the gas gauge stopped working and I am getting a light attributed to the fuel level sensor. I dropped the tank and replaced the fuel level sensor, but the gauge still is not working properly. It either reads full, empty, or partial with no apparent rhyme or reason. I am not sure if it is the cluster, or a wiring issue somewhere. I was planning on fixing this and the transmission when I got my income tax return, but my wife is starting a new job and we really need the money for daycare for our two children for the first month she will not be getting paid. I welcome any questions about the vehicle. I will answer them to the best of my ability. If you would like to come look at the vehicle in person, I need at least a 24 hour notice. Shipping: Due to a bad deal on my last sell I will not pay for shipping. This responsiblity is up to the buyer of the vehicle. I sold a Camry a couple of years back and ended up paying 300 out of my own pocket because I accepted payment for the shipping and arranged it myself only to find that the address and office times were wrong and the tow company charged me. If you purchase this vehicle, I will accept phone calls from the shipping company to help facilitate the pick-up, but I will not use my own account to pay for shipping. I will be as helpful as possible, however.
