Up for auction is a 1966 Ford Galaxie 500, 7 Litre. 2 door hard top. We took this car on trade-in for a new boat. We received the car with 7500 actual miles. All numbers matching factory 428 motor. No sign of rust, no dings or dents and car has always been in California. The mirror and antenna are missing. The car runs great, transmission shifts perfect. This car is very limited, we believe only a few 100 were made, actually this is one of Jay Leno's favorite cars. The car is all original. The car was painted and is in very good condition. You may have the car inspected before bidding. Once the car leaves our location, the car becomes "AS-IS". Serious bidders only because this is a NO RESERVE auction. California residence are required to pay sales tax and all applicable fees. Out of state buyers must have vehicle transported out of California to avoid paying sales tax. Transport is extra. 1966 cars received a mild face-lift with a new roofline on two-door hardtops and a new two-way tailgate on the highly popular full-sized Ford wagons, none of which carried the Galaxie nomenclature. A new Galaxie 500 “7-Litre” two-door hardtop (with the new roofline) was introduced as a performance version, including a lower-cost-to-produce 428 FE block with 345 horsepower.
