1976 Volkswagen Rabbit Swallowtail. Photos are bad. Looks nicer in person! I bought the car a couple weeks ago from a older gentleman. He said he bought it in 1977 from the original owner when he was in the navy. He said his daughter used it when going to college and parked in 1998. He said it has been sitting since then. He told me he 3 years ago he change all the fluids but did not get it on the road. He drained and put fresh gas in it right before i bought it. The car starts right up and drives. The brakes seem to be working fine also. I have not done anything to the car since i have had it. I have not even washed it. I planned on driving it but can not afford another car. The previous own had it painted green for his daughter in the late 90s. It was originaly white and they had painted over the original paint. Some of the green paint is coming off in places as you can see in the pictures. There is some surface rust in a few spots. On the bottom of the fender by the drivers side door it has a small spot were it has rust through. All the glass and glass seals look good. There is tent on the widows that can be taken off. The drivers side seat has a few rips and there a little dirty. The headliner looks nice, some reason the picture made it look bad. Body has some dings here and there. The tires are dry rotted but hold air, so the car will need to be trailered or shipped. The dash is sun cracked and has a cover on it. The floor has some rust through and will need some patching at somepoint, but is useable right now. I am sure i have missed something so feel free to ask questions. Buyer will pay $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction ending by paypal. Buyer will pay the rest when picked up.
