100% original 1959 Coupe De Ville (62 Series) that has been in our family since it was new in 1959. 72257 original miles. It was always stored inside accept for the last 3 years until ownership passed to elderly Dad and he left it outside. The paint has weathered and the vinyl dash has cracked. This vehicle has Never been in a collision, has Never had any engine work done on it. It has original glass and upholstery. More detail; EXTERIOR; paint is cracked and surface rust shows on flat surfaces. One small dent in right front fender, right door and on trunk lid. Rusted through ahead of the rocker panels on both front fenders. Other rust areas that are surface only. Hubcaps are original as are the wheels. Matching set of 4 Tires have only about 2500 miles on them or less. Both original fender skirts are in place. Right side chrome strip slipped forward and bent back when the door was opened. Could be straightened, otherwise all chrome intact and original. All glass original and tinted. Windshield has a wiper blade scratch on the passenger side. Trunk complete with original jack set and wheel cover. Original driver's side mirror 100%. Original trunk upholster has been covered with carpet. INTERIOR; upholster in very good condition especially in the back. Head liner is 100%, no holes, cracks. Visors and mirrors are intact. Steering wheel is bright and shiny, does have cracking only. Horn works, wipers work, electric seat works, gauges work headlight and break-lights work. Electric windows work except; right rear window and left drivers vent window. Locks work. Original radio but Antenna does not extend. Floor carpet original and in good condition especially in the back. There is a hole in the carpet under the driver's heel, and a small hole where a coffee caddy was mounted with one screw. Glove box fine, ashtray clean with lighter, spring closer a little weak only. ENGINE. Car runs very well, starts good, sounds good. Does not smoke when started, does smoke when going down a hill when you let off on the gas. Idles well; Transmission is good, forward and reverse work well. I have driven this vehicle on the highway and cruised along at 70mph, straight, no shimmy, no pulling, lots of power. Engine could use a tune up. My dad had a small engine fire from a leaky carburetor and burned the spark plug wires and hood insulation. We did not replace the insulation but the wires were all professionally replaced and the carburetor fixed as well.. Original Cadillac blue paint visible. I believe it has the 390 Engine. I will try to add a few more photos. Car is originally black as shown. Drivers floor board is not rusted, hole is only in carpet surface, not into pad. No rust areasunder the car on frame other than from normal driving. Lots of black surfaces still. Engine does not leak oil. Oil pan shows evidence of old leak. Mufflers both look new so noise might be from tailpipe. Rear shocks look new.
