This is a genuine Triumph TR8 coupe one of 500 made for holomogation , so that Triumph could use the V8 for the world rally championship . This is the desirable 5 speed manual transmission , power steering, no sunroof and no rust , perfect for a rally car . I got this Triumph in 2007 with the intention of using it for the Taga newfounland but , alas , with not enough time or money I have not used it . The engine is a built 3.9 with fuel injection with high flow injectors. Headers and stainless steel rally exhaust system is from rimmer bothers in England , It has a roll cage from TSI imported automotive that is a bolt in ( only bolted in on the front legs at present ) TSI big bearing front hubs , huge brakes front and rear ( rear converted to disc ) rear hydraulic Brake line lock , twin Tilton master cylinders ( rear master cylinder is leaking and will need a seal kit ) , KYB shocks , MRT 15" wheels , Cobra evolution seats , The paint job was ( 5 years ago) a pro. bare metal respray ($3000) with the works rally colors and stickers ( iIwill throw in a new set of hard to find stickers that I have ) ,95 % tread on Dunlop sport tires . This is a loud , fast , small , difficult to get in and out of car that has been in storage for a few years , it runs and drives ,but it will need going through , if you need to pass a smog test do not bid on it ( no cats , no evap ) .
