This auction features a 1997 Honda Pacific Coast which I purchased last fall and have ridden this summer. I have always wanted to try one of these and I was not disappointed, it rides beautifully. It would be fine for touring and handles great on the back roads. Unfortunately, I am swiftly becoming an old man and my balance is not what it once was. I believe it may be time to downsize or perhaps to hang up my helmet. I have ridden 43 successful years and enjoyed every one. The original windshield was crazed and, after many attempts to polish it, I replaced it with a touring windshield which gives more protection from the wind. I can ride with only my glasses for eye protection and have no problems. The original windshield will be included with the purchase. I had the seats professionally redone this summer and the shop did a great job. I have a sheepskin "sitzpelt" on the front seat for more comfort on the long rides. I also had the rear tire replaced this spring with the correct size Dunlop. It has a few hundred miles on it. The mirrors are both scuffed like someone tried to squeeze into a small space and the front wheel and lower fork legs are somewhat discolored and maybe pitted.. I think it had been stored in a damp basement for a time and perhaps that is the cause. I did not spend much time trying to remedy this concern as it is hard for me to work down low anymore and I spent my time riding. The clutch and brake fluids, coolant, oil and spark plugs have just been changed. I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have. I could probably ride it to your home if you live about 200 miles or so away or could meet you somewhere. I may be able to find someone to chase me and bring me home. Most anything is possible.
