Upon purchasing the car for $39,000 in 2010, the owner invested approximately $50,000 on top-quality performance modifications and age-related service work between 2010 and 2012, which was performed by leading Porsche racing expert Kelly-Moss Motorsports to make it stellar and streetable in every manner to his personal tastes. Below is a detailed description covering this 930’s outstanding and unique aspects: Engine: Kelly-Moss Motorsports performed 178.6 man-hours ($110/hr x 178.6 hours = $19,646 in labor) of redesigning and fabricating a twin turbo and exhaust system without any consideration to cost that included: · Redesigning and fabricating twin turbo system with Porsche 996 Twin Turbo muffler, modified SSI heat exchangers, new Tial wastegates, and gravity-fed oil return lines. This required repositioning the twin turbos and the wastegates, running custom fabricated tubes from the CIS fuel injection plenum to each of the twin turbos, fabricating new pressure tubes from the twin turbos to the existing intercooler, and adapting the turbo waste gate exhaust building the engine and custom fabricating all the plumbing for the twin turbos and exhaust set-up to perfection. · Installing Carrera tensioners and oil fed lines · Adjusting valves, cleaning & surfacing valve covers · Complete reseal of engine engine Additional and desirable engine modifications include: · DP Motorsports front spoiler with oil cooler · Monster intercooler · SC camshafts The engine now produces an astonishing 460+hp. Interior: Equipped with the original and pristine full-leather interior that smells exactly as it did when delivered new in 1982. The original brown full-leather dash, headliner, and rear speaker shelf have no fading, shrinkage, or warping. The tan leather seats (including the bolsters) are pristine and have not been re-dyed. The original carpet is equally pristine and is protected by Lloyd “turbo” logo floor mats. All electrical items, gauges, and switches, are fully functional.
