Up for sale is my 2005 Triumph Thruxton 900 This particular year is desirable, in my opinion, since it's still carbureted and still has actual "clip-on" style handle bars. It's also only one of two years that the Racing Yellow paint scheme was available. The Good: She runs great and the pipes and jets are all stock. Never had any engine issues and she has never left me stranded. The modern Triumph twins are known to be pretty much bullet proof. Absolutely ZERO oil leaks My bike is mostly stock except for the following items: -Rear Fender eliminator kit (I have the original rear fender too) -Custom made bar-end mirrors -Genuine factory fork gaiters -HID headlight kit from DDM tuning -Air Injection delete kit The rear tire and brake pads were replaced less than one thousand miles ago. The Not-So-Good: The previous owner got some kind of fluid on the headers that discolored them pretty bad. I put exhaust wrap on the pipes to cover the discoloration and to make the bike look more period correct. (See pic) The clear coat on the engine/transmission cases is corroded in some spots. This is a known issue with these generation Triumph twins. (See pic) Both issues are cosmetic; mechanically and electrically the bike is sound. Some other little bits should be polished or waxed, but nothing out of the ordinary for a bike with 13K miles on it. This isn't a show bike or a project bike. This is a bike you can throw your leg over and ride. This would be perfect for a first time rider.I don't NEED to sell this bike. If it doesn't sell, it's going back in to the shed for the winter.
