Black 1999 Ford Explorer XLT for sale. Get yourself a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle for winter. Sad to see it go. Family is expanding and need more room for car seats, otherwise I would be keeping it. I trusted it enough to use it everyday to bring a now 4 year old and a two year old to daycare and go to work everyday for the past 2 years. Truck has about 180,100 miles. Engine was replaced around 145,000 miles with an engine that had about 35,000 miles. So current engine has about 75,000 miles on it. Vehicle passed Illinois emission testing 07/2011. Kelly Blue Book give a value of $3268 in Fair Condition. Notable History - Dates and Mileages are approx. 12/1998 Purchased Brand New 04/2006 Transmission Replaced(128,000) 05/2007 Engine Replaced(145,000) 05/2007 Gave Vehicle To My Parents 09/2009 Parents Gave Vehicle Back to Me 04/2011 Exhaust System Replaced(168,000) 10/2011 Tires Replaced(172,000) Features 4 Wheel ABS Brakes Power Steering Tilt Wheel Air Conditioning Air Conditioning - rear Power Windows Power Locks Cruise Control AM/FM Stereo Cassette Single CD Player Dual Air Bags Dual Power Seats Leather Interior Power Moonroof Running Boards Roof Rack Flaws Rust - As you can see from the pictures, the body has some rust, most notable on the bottoms of the rear doors and the rear fenders. Windshield - Has a star but has been filled with Permatex windshield repair kit. Has made it throught 2 Chicago winters. Oil Leak - There is a small oil leak that is dripping around where the transmission and engine come together. It is not big enough to have to add oil between oil changes. My mechanic told me it was not worth fixing for the amount of oil leaking. Door Handle/lock - Drivers door handle sticks, so it doesn't always unlock when you press unlock, I think it is a spring on the inside of the door. Hood Struts - Weak and need to be replaced. I just use a piece of wood to hold it open. Cruise Control - Connector came off and needs to be put back on in steering wheel. Blower Control - Fan speeds 2 and 3 blow like speed 1, 4 works as it should. Important If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
