PLEASE INSPECT THIS JEEP IN PERSON BEFORE PLACING A BID OR SELECTING “BUY IT NOW” OPTION! I want you to know what you are purchasing. In my opinion, there is no substitute for personal inspection of this vehicle. There is no way for me to describe all the details, flaws, blemishes, etc. on a 32 year old Jeep. Obviously sold “as is” and local pick-up only. Jeep is located in Brookfield, Wisconsin 53005. This is a 1980 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo with 73,400 original miles (I am still driving the Jeep so the mileage may increase). The engine is a 258 in-line 6 cylinder and the transmission is automatic. The Jeep has power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, factory air conditioning (not working), and of course is four wheel drive. The Jeep runs, drives, shifts, and stops well. The engine has an intermittent tick at idle if I don’t use premium gas. The gas gauge is not working. The four wheel drive works as it should (transfer case works). I think the paint is original. I have a clear Wisconsin title for the Jeep that is in my name. It will need to be signed over to the new owner when the Jeep is picked up. The VIN # is J0D93EC027520. Ebay does not allow me to enter the VIN for a free vehicle history report due to the Jeep being a pre 1981 model. This Jeep had been parked for 20 years when I bought it in 2008 with 53,000 miles on it. I have driven it almost every day since then (April – October only) and have put around 25,400 miles on it. It has been parked inside November – March and has not seen any salty roads since I bought it. All exterior lights on the Jeep work as they should. The frame has surface rust only, no holes. The tires are good. The floor on the driver’s side has a sheet metal pan in it. The original chrome bumperettes and the original side steps were removed, but are included with the Jeep (shown in picture). A 1980 factory service manual will also be included. Some parts that have been replaced since I bought it are as follows… radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts, brake lines, pads, shoes, master cylinder, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, spark plug wires, front axle u-joints, front wheel bearings re-packed, power steering lines (pressure and return), gas filter, air filter, transmission fluid and filter, transfer case fluid, motor mounts, transmission mounts, windshield washer fluid pump, intake manifold gasket, recent engine oil and filter change. Please note: This Jeep is also for sale locally, so if it sells locally, it will be pulled from ebay. Buyer to contact me within 24 hours of auction closing to schedule a pick up date.
