Vehicle Detail

This is a 1986 Porsche 911 coupe green met/dark red interior. 1986 was the last year of the traditional 915 box but had the later dash and other upgrades, which makes the 1986 model year a 1-year-only in many aspects. This particular car is optioned with very desirable factory sport seats, rear windshield wiper, burgundy headliner, front chin spoiler, and factory whale tail. This car only has 78,000 original miles, but the odometer stopped working just 50 miles ago. I have ordered a new plastic gear to get this fixed. Thankfully this wasn’t done several 1000 miles later! The exterior is in remarkably great shape. The paint is in great condition with one minor flaw which is a dime-sized clearcoat bubble on the hood. There is one small dent on the rear decklid below the Carrera script. The car had a fender bender in its early life in the right front fender. Due to this, the car given a salvage title back in 1989 but fortunately the car has since got a clean, free and clear title! Ebay has required that I mark the title as salvage, even though it has free and clear title, otherwise Ebay will not allow me to list it! So make no mistake, the current title not a salvage title in any way, shape or form. The interior is fabulous original condition. The sport seats are all original in great shape. The driver’s seat has 2 small wear spots that are through, but otherwise the rest of the seats are remarkable. The dash, headliner, carpet, and rear seats are all in great shape. A very tasteful MOMO steering wheel was installed. The driver’s side floor mat is missing, however these can easily be attained or made. All the electrics work as they should. The radio is the only aftermarket interior upgrade. The speakers were also replaced, which have effectively made the sound quality miles better than the original speakers. The speakers were replaced using the original speaker grills to retain the original look. Mechanically, the car runs and drives fantastic! The engine idles great, doesn’t smoke, good oil pressure, and great power delivery. The 915 gearbox shifts great. The clutch is smooth and the brakes are in great shape too. The suspension was slightly lowered to European ride height (the proper ride height; not like the U.S. 4x4 ride height U.S. 911s come with). Overall, this isn’t a pristine show car, but an excellent low mileage driver with great options and wonderful color combination with very desirable sport seats. I also have previous records, books, and service receipts along with the original owners manual with the original owners name. I have a clean, free and clear title. These 3.2 Carreras are considered the most reliable of the 911 breed and it has the right to boast that all day long.
