DATA PLATE: 40 A XH 14B 320236P VIN: D7FH221608 CONDITION: As can be seen in the pictures this Thunderbird is in excellent fully-restored condition. The comprehensive professional restoration was done a number of years ago however the car has been driven sparingly since completion. The paint has excellent gloss and is a beautiful color for the car especially with the red interior. If I had to nit-pick the exterior there are some flaws visible under fluorescent light and the paint on the top surfaces is generally better than the sides of the car. I am being very critical here and this is the only reason the car isn’t worth $45,000-$55,000. All of the chrome is really nice. The engine compartment is correctly detailed in unbelievable condition as can be seen in the pictures. Underneath the car has been fully restored and the frame is not all patched like many of these cars. The interior is beautiful and virtually as-new. Convertible top looks brand new with a nicely restored and painted frame. Tires are nice reproduction wide white walls with plenty of tread. Wire wheels are in beautiful shape. Mechanically the car has just been fully inspected and serviced by Layland Motors which is one of the best classic and exotic service shops in the area. Please see http://laylandmotors.com for information about them. All the fluids have been changed, the engine tuned and car test-driven 50 miles. The engine starts easily cold or hot and pulls very strongly in all gears. The transmission shifts properly with smooth clutch operation. The car pulls slightly to the right under heavy braking but stops better than most cars of this vintage. All the gauges are working, even the clock! All of the lights are working. The heater is working. The radio does not work. HISTORY: This car has been owned by a local Ford enthusiast who enjoyed his collection of fine Mustangs, T-Birds, Shelby’s and other rare cars. He bought the Thunderbird after it had been restored and it has been driven sparingly since then. The car has been kept in his HUGE garage full of cars, tools and collectible automotive memorabilia. Unfortunately the owner has passed away and his family has asked us to sell this wonderful car on their behalf.
