This is a Two owner Florida Car. The second owner has owned it since February 1998 until it was recently sold to us. Finished in signal red over a black interior and complimented by an excellent black soft top this Pagoda is sure to get some really impressed looks. The exterior of this Pagoda is Fantastic! The paint is deep, lustrous, free of any significant imperfection and shines throughout the body as it just left the factory in Germany. It has some minor paint chips at the edge of the hood opening but nothing major. The car had a high quality repaint once. The body is straight and solid. There is some slight paint bubbling at the edge of the hard top on the driver's side as you will see in one of the pictures but nothing major and besides that spot this 280SL is rust free. The black soft top is in excellent condition with a back window that is clear as water. The interior is clean and in great condition. The seats and door panel are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The carpet is in very good condition. Front and rear bumpers and the other chrome trims are in excellent condition with a nice shine. Mechanically the car is sound and we would not hesitate to drive it to anywhere. The engine starts easily with a smooth idle and with absolutely no smoke. Transmission shifts nicely and the brakes are very good. We have test driven this car on the highway with speed up to 75 miles per hour with no vibration. We have receipts showing over $10,000 of maintenance work within the last 4 years. Transmission rebuilt ($2145.00) * January 2009......................................................Head job ($2161.00) All the gauges operate correctly as well as the lights, signals , Windshiel wipers, clock ect...... Even the light in the glove compartment works. The Becker Mexico radio cassete works properly and sounds great. This 280SL comes with a folder of maintenance receipts as well as stamped service book and owner's manual. The data card comes with the car as well as the bill of sale from the dealership where it was purchased in 1998. We have the clear Florida Title ready to be transfered. This is a beautiful car and its definitely a head turner. This is a great car ready to be Enjoyed and you will not be disapointed !
