Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1988 5.7L 350 cu in V8 Camaro. The car has a clear title and I have owned it for over the last 5 years and have receipts for just everything that I have replaced and bought for it.A lot of the receipts from Autozone and places like that have faded and are hard to read. The car was originally a V6 from the factory. One of the previous owners took the V6 out and dropped in a V8 with what I believe is a 700r4 automatic transmission.I also have a 700r4 chrome flywheel dust cover that comes with it.It has Edelbrock Headers on it.It has rear window louvers, 3 piece metal, that I put on it.I painted the louvers with satin black paint but the sun has faded them. They can easily be sanded and repainted the color of your choice. It has an apprx. 4.75" fully functioning cowl induction hood that has a metal air cleaner turned around to catch the air the comes in off the windshield. It has a brand new Holley 650 Carb that I installed when I bought the car in 2007.The car runs and drives and I just bought a new battery and installed it.The registration just expired in June of 2012 and and the inspection expired in August of 2011.The odometer reads 44,764 miles but I am not sure if that's really 44k or 144k+ since it only has a 5 digit odometer. (Most likely 144k)I installed a new Kenwood stereo when I bought it and bought new 6x9 Kenwood speakers along with new Pioneer speakers for the front of the car.The stereo works and sounds great and has an MP3 auxiliary plug in with remote. The tires all have good tread life left.I replaced the front grille with a new one.The carpet and center console used to have a tan/yellow carpet color until I replaced it with a brand new black carpet and black carpeted center console.I replaced the dash board with one that did not have cracks but now it has two cracks in it.It has one on the left and one on the right side so I covered it with a black dash mat.The carpet in the trunk is grey along with the color of the seats and is in good shape. There are no holes in any of the carpet. The sun visors have been replaced with black fabric ones that I made and stitched together. The front seats are dark grey and have adjustable head rests. The rear seats are light grey and the rear driver side has a hole in the bottom cushion. The car does include a spare tire and jack stand. The hood has hood pins that keep it attached to the car.I replaced a lot of the grey interior panels with black panels such as the front and rear arm rests. There are no major cracks in the interior panels and dash board. There is NO A/C, it did not have any when I bought it.I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump back in 2007.I did the same with new spark plugs and spark plug wires.I took it to a shop back in 2007 where they replaced several things, adjusted several things and I still have the receipt with the work done. There is a switch that turns the fuel pump on and off below the steering wheel that is hidden. The car has dimpled and slotted front rotors with EBC Red Stuff brake pads.I bought the car as a project car and put well under 1000 miles, only 856 actual miles, on it when I purchased it as the odometer read 43,908 from the shop receipt that I took it to.The paint is good but has several scratches around the entire car.Nothing extreme or bad.It seems to be the original paint as well. There are several new sealed beam headlights and a new oil filter that are in the trunk which will be included since I will have no use for them. This car is SOLD AS IS, with no warranty. This is not a factory stock V8, originally a V6 and had an engine swap to a V8.It is also not a stock Z-28 or Iroc-Z.Those are just the badges that were on the car when I bought it.It is built as a project car but I do not have any more time to put into it and I would just like to let it go. Low Reserve!! Buyer responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping. Only U.S. buyers please and I only ship to the lower 48 states. Thanks!
