This 1988 BMW 635csi is in good to excellent condition. It runs and drives great. I have owned it since 2006, except for one year that I let my grand daughter use it for college at Point Loma, San Diego; she registered it in Boulder City Nevada where her parents live. We put it in her name for a year so I would not have the liability. It was put back in my name when she graduated a little over a year ago and returned the car to me. In the six years that I have owned it, I put about 27000 miles on it. I have owned BMW's all my life and do all the work myself. I have all the part receipts and maintenance records for this car since I owned it and some from the previous owner. The car recently passed California Smog test when I renewed the registration. It needs a plastic gear that is cheap and readily available. This is a common problem with these older BMW'sThe A/C has a valve that controls the Freon between the front and rear A/C condensers, sometimes only the rear puts out cold air; I believe the valve sticks and needs replacing. The A/C puts out very cold air, either front/rear or just rear. The rear A/C has a built-in beverage cooler.The rear power window control switches need replacing, they work intermittently, another common problem with the older BMW'sThere is a tear in the rear beverage compartment cover, see picThere is a tear in the drivers seat leather, bottom, see pic This car is good for everyday driving or as a project car. This is not a basket case 635, it can be driven everyday and is a pleasure to drive.
