Vehicle Detail

1993 Geo Metro with 128000 original miles. AS OF TODAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2012 THIS GEO IS PENDING A SALE LOCALLY! PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING OR YOUR BID WILL BE RETRACTED. With these gas prices soaring get your Metro at 36 MPG I purchased this vehicle a back in March from a friend of mine who had it for 5 years. It was a daily driver up until then. I've taken it work and to school a few times and it runs good. The engine is in running condition as well as the transmission, which shifts smooth without any problems. However the issue with this car is that it stalls when idling. The car is in relatively clean condition inside and out. However it does have some rust as seen on the pictures on the underside of the doors, these is common on some of these cars. The paint is a somewhat faded primarily on the hood as seen on the pictures. There is some rust on the underside directly below the doors, as this is common on these vehicles. The brakes and tires are OK for now but may have to be replaced soon. The spark plugs were replaced in February A new oil pan gasket was also installed This vehicle DOES NOT leak any fluids as far as I can see, after visually inspecting it. It has some some gunk on the engine because the valve cover gaskets were worn out, however the prior owner changed them shortly before I purchased the car and they should be fine now. It DOES NOT overheat. The temperature gage is exactly where it should be right down the middle. UPDATE: Today, 14 Sep '12, I took the EGR valve to inspect it, as it turns out, ITS A BRAND NEW VALVE! The problem was that whoever put the valve on LEFT THE MANUFACTURER SEAL ON! I replaced the gasket, and the PCV Valve. While it gave the car a little better performance, THE STALLING PROBLEM PERSISTS. Cosmetically it needs some TLC on minor issues; it has a dent on the top frame of the driver's side rear window, the hatchback door does not stay open because it needs a new set of hatch struts that cost 19 dollars each. It has other issues that are more than fixable by anyone who is willing to put the time on it. It has a dent on the top frame about the driver's side rear window, This car is being sold "As Is" with no warranty expressed or implied. Please contact me if you have any questions before bidding. I strongly encourage you to come and take a look at it and drive in it before you bid, I will do my best to schedule an appointment with you. If you buy it now or win the auction without coming to take a look at it then you are accepting of the vehicle as it comes to you in its totallity, which may include other characteristics not listed here. Contact me directly and leave a message if I do not answer. I work full time and go to school full time so please forgive me if I do not get back to you immediately. On Sep-17-12 at 07:57:11 PDT, seller added the following information: The discription given above is by no means a complete list of issues. This car is not new and it should not be expected to be in "like new" condition. I can't stress to you enough just how important it is to please contact me with any questions before bidding or to schedule a time to come see it and drive it yourself. I am a reputable ebay seller and have been for many years and I don't want you to be unhappy with your purchase because you did not ask any questions before bidding.
