Reserve Reduced - Terms Relaxed - Inside Storage Availability 1967 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible This rare factory muscle car restoration project is a 2 door convertible and has it's original, numbers matching 383 B engine and console shift automatic! Very low miles on both the 383 engine and 727 Torqueflight transmission, which were both rebuilt at the same time. All original equipment is a big plus to restoration experts. Engine runs smooth, noise free, leak free, smoke free and dual exhaust sounds ...thunderous, like a MOPAR should. The 383 has a very distinctive and unmistakably aggressive exhaust note that puts others to shame and always turns heads. There are no problems at all with the engine, transmission, suspension, steering, driveline, u-joints, or rear axle. Super solid low miles drivetrain components and lack of hardly any missing restoration parts are what make this restoration project a real bargain. This car was driven to it's current location and was super nice riding, responsive and very comfortable driver. *Factory 383 (Numbers Matching) *Factory bucket seats *Factory console shift *Dual Exhaust *727 Torqueflight 3 speed auto trans *2.76 Rear Axle Ratio *New Top - In Black - Ready to install *Factory Power brakes, steering, windows and door locks. *Adjustable Torsion Bar Front Suspension *Air Shocks * Parts Car The engine is spotless, correct and exactly as shown in the photos below. This engine has amazing power. The car has new tires with the knock-off style hubcaps. Good front end alignment. Perfect bumpers grill and headlight cowling, which is very rare to find among these and a major cost saving feature to a restorer. All replacement parts you would ever need are either included with the parts car or available from aftermarket vendors, factory authentic and brand new! Tail light lenses are great and in duplicate. All body seams line up very nicely. All exterior body panels are straight and nearly rust free. Current color, (a light dusting of black over red primer), indicates that the vehicle was well into the process block sanding and final prep for paint. The doors shut easy and latch mechanism works smooth. Door hinges are good, doors do not sag. Front floors are very good. Front seats are in great shape and are very comfortable. The back seat area floors, trunk have rust and need to be replaced with parts from the donor car. If you are not knowledgeable about these types of repairs, this car may not be for you. The carpet is faded, upholstery and door panels all need to be recovered, but replacement parts are also available, including floor pans, from year one and other restoration specialists. The convertible needs to have the brake master cylinder replaced, (a new one comes with the parts car). windshield is cracked. missing rr quarter window. Vinyl dash pad has a crack. New ignition switch and key. Door locks and trunk locks are included but will need to be re-keyed. Clean fuel tank needs to be installed, so it is not drivable and will need to be trailered. Dash and gages are complete, including option knock outs. Power steering works fine, doesn't leak or make any noise. Electrical system components are good. Starter is new. Alternator and charging system function correctly. All electrical components function correctly. Ignition components are new. 4 Barrel Rochester Quadrojet carb is freshly rebuilt. Idles smoothly. Starts right up cold. No hesitation on acceleration. Amazing power! Adjustable torsion bar front suspension and rear air shocks allow easy "on the fly" adjusting of the car's ride height and rake without any additional equipment. Ample wheel well clearance will allow large wheels and tires with width in excess of 14" The tire yo see in these pictures are 14s and are relatively small for the car. Please click the shipping tab on this page for an immediate quote. Just enter your zip code and it's instant. You may need a custom quote to ship 2 cars at a significant discount. I would make this care drivable for you but am unable to complete the project at this time. My loss is your gain. The convertible comes with almost all the necessary replacement parts in the form of a nearly rust free parts car... BONUS PARTS CAR. 1967 Plymouth Fury hardtop. This is also a rare and valuable car. One of the 2 door hardtops sold this year, (2012), at Barrett Jackson, for $7,700.00. This donor parts car is nearly complete minus the engine and transmission. Has a damaged rf fender. Black interior. It has new carpet in black. Trailer brakes. Air shocks. Has a brand new power disc brake upgrade package complete with power booster, master cylinder, rotors, calipers, and even all new brake lines, freshly installed but never used. The badging and fender mounted turn signals are still intact. All the factory correct parts you'll need for the convertible have been thoroughly checked and are in excellent condition. Between the two cars, there won't be much missing for a complete restoration, so please plan on taking both. The parts car also comes with 6 of the large police wheels, two of them have snow tires mounted on them. It once had a bubble gum machine on top, (police lights) . I can not verify this was a police car. Both cars have clear titles, in hand and in my name. There are current collector vehicle registration including permanent license plates on the convertible, which means you will never pay for license tags again.
