It's been gone through from top to bottom mechanically and cosmetically. The all original inline 6 cylinder runs extremely strong, clutch and transmission are all in excellent working order. The transmission shifts smoothly through the gears, there are zero oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool - drives exactly like a well maintained/ low mileage vehicle should! This FJ40 is a 2 owner and spent the majority of it's life in the panhandle of Texas in a humidity free environment, hence the reason the body and frame are essentially flawless and rust free. The interior is excellent all leather upholstery is in excellent condition, as well as zero cracks or blemishes in the control panel or dash. Turn signals, lights, wipers, taillights, backup lights, and all gauges work flawlessly. This FJ sits on top of an industry best Old Man Emu 40 4" Lift seamlessly joined with a custom extended travel bumper and off road grill guard. This combination yields extended wheel travel, enhanced load carrying capability, and a dramatic improvement in ride quality both on and off-road, not to mention increased clearance and overall cosmetic appeal. This bumper is the one of the best creations ever for this vehicle, and includes tow mounts, a hi lift jack mount (jack included in sale), and fog lighting. New high performance off road wheels with 33 x 12.40 x15 BFG All Terrain Tires with very few miles on them. This version comes standard with a tan soft top, and removable upper door soft top windows. The top is in fair condition, but has never been on the vehicle while I have owned it, as it has always been garaged. You will look long and hard to find a finer example of this increasingly desirable and legendary FJ40 series Toyota Landcruiser in the rigid 2 door with a removable soft top and drop down windshield for the ultimate 'Safari' style 4x4...... and specifically with this particular vehicle still mostly all stock and with no history or signs of any accidents or rust. I honestly had no real timeframe for selling the FJ (just the phrase from the wife, "you have to many toys, get rid of some"), more than anything just wanted to see what the response would be. I can tell you, the mass amount of emails of interest and questions about the vehicle has been astonishing. This truck is pure and simple a joy to drive and a head turner, so good luck, the high bidder or buy it now buyer is going to get a great ride! I have sent many of you additional photos, however, i can't keep up with the emails, so I have created a separate photobucket website (as I couldn't figure out how to add more than 24 photos to ebay) with additional photos of the FJ; namely focusing on the 40 with the soft top on, the frame, undercarriage, interior floorboards, and engine compartment.
