I had a 2005 R1200RT that I rode the dickens out of. When BMW upgraded the transmission and in 2010 moved to the HP2 motor, I traded in for the new model and tricked it out with dreams of great adventures. But ‘stuff’ happens and three surgeries later I have no choice but to hang up my boots and this lovely bike has been left riderless for two seasons now. The motorcycle is in near perfect condition (there is a small ding on one of the side cases – see photos - otherwise immaculate) Fully equipped it was close to $23,000 new, but I cannot ride anymore and it’s priced to sell. The R1200RT is a world class Sport-Touring bike, winner of many awards and bike of the year several times. The choice of Police departments around the world and in my opinion the best all-around bike BMW ever made. Do not make the mistake of comparing the 2010 with earlier models: They look alike but are vastly different.
