Re-listing with No Reserve. 1992 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible 5 Speed 152,500 miles California/Florida Car -- Never Driven in New England Winter While this car has been in MA for about 10 years, it is originally from CA/FL (Disney Employee Parking Sticker on the windshield). The previous owner (8 years) was a Saab fanatic. I have had it for 2 ½ years, but am now facing teen drivers in the family and need to make room for the inevitable. Solid Frame -- No A Pillar, Sub-Frame or Under Body Rot - Don't be fooled by other 900 T verts that have shiny paint, but are rotting out underneath. This is structurally and mechanically in good shape and had a lot done to it. Yes, there are other cars out there with less miles, but if they need $3-4K of brakes, timing chain, suspension, tires, exhaust, head gasket, etc, then this one makes a lot more sense. This car runs well, has been driven daily since April with no issues and is rock solid on the highway. No clunks, squeaks etc. The Buyer is getting a bargain at this price, but I simply have no room to keep it. New in the Past 2 Years (WILL PROVIDE ALL RECEIPTS WITH CAR FOR LAST 2 YEARS) Complete Brakes (Pad & Rotors and fresh (last week) rear calipers) Trim and Cosmetics (Saab emblems, bumper strips) Front Shocks Ignition Module Muffler, Catalytic Converter, Front Pipe Original Fog Lights Tie Rods, Ball Joints Tires have about 10k on them Belts (AC belt is removed) Fuel Line Control Arm Bushings Alignment Distributor Cap and Bougicord Wires Car Cover Oil changes every 3K and Gearbox every 6K New in the Past 10 Years (previous owner available for reference/Q&A) Manual Transmission (Was Automatic) Top is ~ 8 Years old - no rips tears or sagging Clutch (Slave, Pressure Plate, Front and Rear Main Seal) Alpine Stereo, Boston Acoustics Speakers, Bazooka Subwoofer Head Gasket Windshield Timing Chain and Tensioner Water Pump Oil Pump O Ring and Seals Steering Rack What it needs/What doesn't work/Warts (its a reliable daily driver and needs nothing major done, but at 20 years old, there are always little things) AC is not working (condenser OK, pinhole leak in compressor fitting) - belt for condenser has been removed)...but, hey, its a convertible Washer Fluid Switch (use a bottle of water ;) Ding on right rear bumper from backing into fire hydrant (sigh) Placeholder repair above rear wheel well -- should be redone - I took a picture of this area - see below - The OEM paint that was used in the area is a slight shade darker than the original 20 year old paint on the rest of the vehicle, but you really only notice it in direct sunlight. There is also some bubbling starting on the right front fender rim which will probably need some attention soon. Some wear on driver's side interior door panel and arm rest. The seats are in decent shape - somewhere along the way some of the leather on the bottoms and backs was replaced with matching vinyl panels, but the color match is really close. I restitched the seams in the rear seat but admittedly did not do the best job (see picture) - the whole cover can be removed and probably brought to an upholstery shop if you're seeking perfection. The paint is original and in decent shape - a few small stone chips that have been daubed with touch up paint, but generally what you would expect after 20 years. Heater/defroster fan only has one speed (but then again, its a summer car) One of the bulbs that back lights the instrument panel at night is out, but you can still see everything - could be a simple fix - I honestly have not idea since this hasn't bothered me all that much. I have taken pictures of each of the defect areas listed above. If anyone would like a shot of some other specific area of the car, let me know and I'll post it. Most pictures below taken on Sunday August 26, 2012 at Swedish Car Day at the Auto Museum in Brookline, MA Vehicle is offered As Is with no warranty, express or implied. one other thing - it does have a 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver that I use for a bike rack on the back. Then there's the list of things that DO work: Power seats, remote adjusting side mirrors, remote locks and alarm (I only have 1 remote), no issues with the hydraulics on the top, all 4 power windows, all interior and trunk lights, sound system is awesome, rear defroster etc
