Up for sale is my 1941 Chevrolet Special Deluxe. - - I know the life story of this car. It was bought new in 1941 in Pine Bush New York. The original owner drove it until 1956, then put it in a garage. - - I got it out of the garage in 2000 . I put in a throw out bearing and a clutch. Also did an amature paint job. The car has its original six volt system. It has the original six cylinder motor and three speed manual transmission. The car was taken to shows and driven around now and then up until 2006 when I had too much going on and couldn't use it the way I wanted. It went to a friends garage in 2006. It was last street legal around 2006, and has not been started since. I lost my storage in August 2012, and I would like it to go to a happy home......I have no battery for it at this time so cannot start it up or fool with it. The body is in very good shape - no holes in the floor. no holes in the trunk. - A small hole at the bottom of the spare tire compartment. A small start of rust issue jst under the tail light. The interior is the original interior, dirty and worn but NOT RIPPED. The only exception is the bottom of the rear seat which has a seat cover on it. - I have an original set of 1941 keys for this car. I did change the grill at one time. This car is far from show room, but would be a good candidate for a full restoration or making a hot rod. very solid car for its age....71 years old and very complete The successful bidder must make arrangments to come and get it in Sullivan County New York...The successful bidder should leave a 500 dollar deposit by paypal and then pay the remainder in a certified check. HE WON THE AUCTION AND NEVER MADE ANY CONTACT WITH ME EVER TO COMPLETE THE DEAL. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY THE CAR. .
