Vehicle Detail

It pains me to post my car but I have a business opportunity that is too good to pass up. So my opportunity is now your opportunity as well. This is a very rare vintage BMW in very good condition. It will also come with dozens of parts that are too numerous to list here but I would love to show you.A little about the car:It is a fantastic runner. I drive it daily during the summer months with absolutely no worry about it breaking down or stranding me anywhere I would drive. It will turn heads of both pedestrians and fellow motorists. I get several thumbs up signs and people talking to me at stop lights all asking about the car. This car will turn any bad mood you're having into a smile.I have done only routine maintenance on this classic in the three summers I have owned it. This year I have needed to put ZERO dollars into it. It's a 4-speed manual transmission and I think it has 117,280 miles on it. That is taken from the two odometers I have for it. The car does need some TLC however as it is not a show car. It will need an oil change, new paint, probably a rebuilt carb, exhaust pipe, tires and the drivers seat repaired because of a tear. It also has a dent in the rear passenger side that can be straightened and it also leaks about a qt. of oil every 3 mo.So I'm offering my old friend up to the Craigslist world to see if there is the right home for this special car and to see if there is someone willing to take this car to the next level. I think the car is spectacular and I hope you do as well. The extra parts I mentioned above easily value $1000 so I think the car and parts is a very good value for someone. Please email me your questions and to set up an appointment to see the car. I'm sending you responses that I'm getting asked by others so you may have information here that does not pertain to your question but may help you also. There is no sunroof. The original color was burgundy. There is a rust hole down by the spare tire area I found yesterday and also it looks like there might be rust starting on one of the shock towers. Transmission works fine and it is geared for a 1600 but the speedometer is from a 2002 so it is off by about 8mph on the high side. The oil leak is coming from an area below where the oil is housed so its not a head gasket. I don't know how to explain it other than that. I believe it has been in Wisconsin all of its life. I can track it back to 1976 anyway based on notes I found. I have had no issue with anything electrical so I'm assuming its fine. I will be uploading more photos based on questions I'm getting.
